~Fifteen~

For days after that, Taehyung would return to the little cottage in the woods. He'd spend hours waiting for a glimpse of his beloved mate, hoping he'd finally talk to him.

But Jin has remained strong. In spite of still feeling love for his Alpha. His aunt would call him back inside for help with something if she saw him attempt to go outside to do any work.

She knows the temptation and how easily it would be to go back to that person. She has noticed how not being with his mate has affected Taehyung's appearance. He's looking despondent and dejected. His cheeks are getting hollow and losing their glow.

Namjoon has decided to stay at the hotel while Taehyung continues to try his best to speak with Jin.

Before he realizes it, more than a month has passed and still no progress has been made.

He currently sits at the edge of the property and watches the movements from afar.

Nearby a small fairy sits watching him on a large stone. She was told not to interact with Tae or Namjoon but she likes to be able to see him.

She was told that he was a brute and broke his young omegas heart. But after observing him for weeks and seeing the longing on his face, she begins to feel bad for him. He doesn't seem like the awful person she was told he was.

Tae quickly stands when he sees Jin come out to hang some laundry. He looks at him through tear filled eyes as he realizes that he's showing more. His belly is growing larger and his Alpha instincts are flaring up.

The fairy flies up and turns to see Jin hanging the clothes. She flies towards him and makes herself known.

"Good morning Seokjin-ah. Are you feeling okay today?"

Jin looks around and can hear buzzing around him but doesn't know where it's coming from. He finally spots the little fairy as she flies in front of his face.

"Oh! There you are. I thought some gnats were being pests."

She tries to glare at him with crossed arms but he adds, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound offensive. I just couldn't see you at first."

She then goes to sit on a nearby rock and begins to grow in size. He is finally able to see her better and understand what she's saying.

"It's ok, I sometimes forget humans can't hear us unless we're their size."

He smiles at her and continues what he's doing. She looks back to where Tae is standing and says, "I kinda feel sorry for your mate. He looks so lost without you."

He resists the urge to turn around and merely says, "Does he?"

"I just don't get it. Why are you refusing to at least speak to him? From what I've heard, he didn't purposely set out to hurt you. He was under someone's spell. And as soon as he was free from it, he came searching for you. Don't you worry about how being apart from your mate is hurting your pup?"

He faces her and asks, "Do you think it will affect him?"

"I'm not sure. But it could be. No one's saying that you need to automatically forgive him and go back to what you had. But maybe by talking to him, it will help you get back what was lost."

"Nissa! Does your father know what you are doing?" Jin's aunt suddenly asks.

The fairy replies, "He knows I'm here."

"Does he know that you're trying to influence my poor nephew in his vulnerable state?"

"I'm not doing that. I'm just asking him questions. What's the harm in that?"
