Chaeryeong had absolutely no idea how she ended up in Yuna's arms.

Yet here she was.

Her friends were all passed out, everyone had fallen asleep or gotten too drunk to stay awake.

They weren't in the living room anymore, actually. They had moved outside, settling down in the soft cushions of the comfortable couches outside on the porch, it was Pepper's idea. Nobody had objected. It was chilly outside, the perfect temperature to have a drink and reminisce their friendship back in high school or college.

Chaeryeong was only a little tipsy at first. But as the night progressed, she found herself dozing off and slurring her words, her head aching after each gulp. She heard Yuri's warnings to stop drinking, but every time she glanced at Heesung and his stupid grin, she wanted to distract herself.

Plus, Yuna was still acting like she was in love with her, which messed with her mind even more due to how well the actress was at her job. She shouldn't even be surprised though, Yuna is a professional actor, after all.

Chaeryeong felt too tired to move, even if she had the urge to scratch her nose. Her head was pounding from the amount of alcohol she consumed, and she couldn't remember exactly how many glasses she had. All she knew was that she normally cannot handle more than two full glasses of wine.

As she felt around, her hand landed on Yuna's thigh, and it did not take her long to realize that she was cuddled into the woman.

Chaeryeong sat upright in shock, hissing at the swift movement she made. Damn alcohol!

She looked to her side slowly, only noticing that Yuna was gently snoring, her eyes closed and her lips slightly parted. It was not good, because Chaeryeong still felt the alcohol in her system, and Yuna's smooth lips did not help her to think straight.

Well, now that she's thinking about it, is she even straight?

Slapping herself on the cheek, she averted her gaze, realizing that the moon was already high up in the sky, shining down on the figures of her friends. Chaeryeong took a deep breath and tried to focus on her surroundings.

The porch they were sitting on was spacious, with several couches arranged in a semi-circle facing the vast garden that surrounded the house. The garden was beautiful, with lush greenery and colorful flowers blooming in every corner. The air was crisp and fresh, carrying the sweet scent of the flowers and the subtle aroma of the alcohol they had been drinking.

She then stared at the woman beside her, seeing how relaxed she was. Yuna's head was leaned back against the couch, her face upward, facing the ceiling. Her left arm was draped over the couch behind Chaeryeong, serving as a pillow that she was previously leaning on. The top two buttons of her white dress shirt were unbuttoned, and the alcohol began to play with her mind once again.

Feeling her cheeks turning warm, Chaeryeong looked away. She didn't want to entertain her thoughts anymore, but with Yuna being by her side, and the warmth that she felt when she was in her arms, had completely went against her decision.

She suddenly wanted to lay on Yuna's shoulder again, just for the warmth. It is cold outside after all.

'That's it, just because of the temperature. Right.'

Now deciding that she wanted to take a breather by herself, she went back inside, then out the front door. Chaeryeong smiled widely when she spotted her favourite tree by the gates, immediately running over to sit down beside it.

The tree held many memories for her. Every time she visited, she would at least spend a few minutes, sitting down at the same spot she used to sit at religiously throughout her childhood. Since she didn't have any siblings, the tree was basically something that she spilled everything to... It just couldn't respond, but Chaeryeong was okay with it.
