The wedding.

Everything went by so quickly that Chaeryeong couldn't even process the fact that it was already the D-Day. Her memories were like a blur, and the only thing she remembered was the last day she spent with Yuna, before they had to separate because they couldn't see each other right before the wedding.

So, there she sat in the dressing room, patting down her dress gently as the makeup artists — that her parents hired — worked on her face.

Chaeryeong was so close to dozing off, unamused by all the boring stuff, until the door had swung open. She felt the immense excitement enter at the same time as her best friend did.

"Ryeongie!" Yeji exclaimed, gasping when she spotted the writer in her attire. "You look absolutely stunning! I'd die to be Yuna right now," she squealed and quickly made her way over to the now smiling Chaeryeong, massaging her shoulders.

"How are you and Jisu?" Chaeryeong asked, muttering a 'thank you' to the makeup artist when she finished.

Yeji shrugged nonchalantly. "She's playing hard to get, but I like it, so things are great!" she smiled.

Chaeryeong chuckled while shaking her head, standing up from her seat. "You've got it easy then, hm? When Yuna played hard to get, I didn't like it one bit."

The older laughed, but then her expression suddenly dropped. "I actually hate it."

"Oh." Chaeryeong stopped her movements, taken aback. "Then who was talking when you said you liked it?"

Yeji began to whine. "No because — why is she playing hard to get? Is she really just hard to get or is she just acting? Sometimes I can't even tell if she really likes talking to me or not because of her short and dry responses, but then one day — she's all rainbows and sunshines!"

Chaeryeong only sighed, patting the girl's shoulder as she walked past. "You'll get through it," she chuckled, glancing over her shoulder. "And I'm talking from experience."

Yeji's shoulders slumped. "Gosh, who you hang out with really matters, huh? Because why are they both like this?"

As Yeji went on her rant, Chaeryeong only hummed while listening, putting on a few jewelry pieces. With her best friend expressing exactly what she went through herself, Chaeryeong was reminded of the past months of suffering and torture with Yuna's behaviour.

But, she was also reminded of how the model was the complete opposite once she softened up. It brought a smile to Chaeryeong's face, if she was honest.

After Yeji's angry and frustrating venting, the two finally made their way out of the dressing room, hearing the grand music playing. Chaeryeong was soon met with her father, lending her an arm to loop their hands together.

"I'm sorry that you have to go through this even though it's just a contract," Mr. Lee sighed. "I know that this might be too much for a mere arrangement, but it was in the—"

"Dad," Chaeryeong interrupted, a grin on her face.

"Yes, sweetie?"

Chaeryeong's free hand fidgeted on its own, her mind going through a very fast-paced debate on whether or not she should inform her father that she had definitely, and very badly, fell in love with Shin Yuna. And that all this preparation wasn't just for the contract.

It was real.

Well, except for their parents, at least. They had no clue.

"I'm..." Chaeryeong glanced at her father's curious expression. "I'm in love with her."
