chp. 36
"Chaeryeong, the wedding is soon."
Ever since those words left Yuna's lips, the couple had been real busy talking to their family members and the wedding planners. It had been a real hectic day that made the both of them forget about the peaceful morning they had earlier, which — absolutely sucked, because all Chaeryeong needed was a few hours off and maybe some lego building with her fiancée.
"Ryeong, what theme do you want it to be?" Yuna asked, covering the speaker of her phone as she leaned in.
Chaeryeong covered her eyes with a sigh, "Legos."
Yuna displayed a complexed expression, "What?"
Snapping out of it, Chaeryeong shook her head and waved her hands. "I mean — uh... mermaids?"
Yuna deadpanned her before responding to the planner on the phone, indicating that Chaeryeong's requests were not accepted.
Chaeryeong sighed, lightly slapping herself in the cheek for being so out of it. It was only the afternoon, why did she feel so drained?
Oh, and just thinking about the upcoming days of their wedding planning just took twenty years off her lifespan. They even had to visit their families and decide where they want the wedding to be, which guests they wanted to invite, and discuss the non-existent budget.
Since... their parents still thought they were pretending to be in love.
Little did they know.
Clicking the red button, Yuna chucked her phone to the other side of the couch, ignoring the buzzing, and sighed heavily. Seemed like it wasn't just Chaeryeong who felt exhausted.
"If I knew wedding planning would be this tiring, I would've already terminated the contract," Yuna brought her hands up to her face, aggressively rubbing from her mouth up to her forehead where she ran her fingers through her hair.
Chaeryeong hummed in agreement, but then furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "Why haven't you?" her head whipped toward the taller.
Yuna slowly dropped her hands, her gaze fixed on the high ceiling before she met Chaeryeong's curious eyes.
"...You're lucky I like you."
Then, she got up, grabbed her phone, and then proceeded to walk upstairs, back to her room.
Chaeryeong's eyebrows twisted once more, her lips jutting out in complexion. The hell did that mean?
Wasting no more time pondering the odd behaviour of her odd fiancée, Chaeryeong also got up from the couch, raced to her room, and pulled out a hefty suitcase.
It was time for another trip to the Lee Residence.

"Yah! Shin Yuna!" Yeji yelled furiously, her gaze blazing a path through the crowd of people greeting the couple. "How dare you visit when you cheated on Chaeryeong? Huh? The audacity!"
Yuna instantly hid behind Chaeryeong's shorter figure, holding onto her shoulders as if her life depended on it. The writer chuckled.
Yuri, the only person holding Yeji back from talking with her fist, managed to pull the brunette Hwang back with a few popsicle sticks. Yeji aggressively munched the cold dessert with her glare fixed on the model.
"You and me," Yeji pointed at Yuna, then back at herself, "are going to have a talk later." Then, she retreated upstairs by stomping her way through the crowd once more.
