Chapter 32: Sumeru

Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone! It's been quite some time, huh. Sorry about that, life's just been busy so I had little time, energy or motivation to continue this passion project of mine. Don't worry, though, while updates will still be slow since I'm quite busy these months, I will not permanently quit so please continue being patient with me, hehehe~ Anyways, hope you all enjoy this chapter! The screen turned on to Lumine and Paimon approaching Alhaitham and Cyno in the Grand Bazaar.

"They really make a weird combination."

"Forget how they look, am I the only one curious as to how they spend time when they're alone like there?"

"Aren't they talking about their plans?"

"Do you really think someone as vigilant as the two of them would do something so careless like talking about their plan in such a public place?"

"Good point. Maybe they're just silent?"

"Imagine if the jokester keeps telling jokes."

"I doubt it. If that's true, I'm pretty sure that cold man would already leave or something."

"Well, I don't think it's that impossible. I mean, am I the only one who thinks that he would simply ignore the jokes?"

"Would he even continue speaking if the other one's so silent?"

"I guess not."

"Alright, everyone is here," Alhaitham said the moment he noticed them. 

"He doesn't look desperate or relieved so I guess the possibility of the matra annoying him with his jokes is zero."

"What a shame, it was an interesting thought."

"Are you two seriously that bored that you came up with such thoughts?"

"Can you blame us? We're really not doing anything and we're watching something so boring."

"Well, it is true that they've been doing nothing exciting for quite some time already."

"Delicate things like this needs patience, you know."

"Which I don't have."

"Be grateful I'm still staying and not walking away."

"That's because you're curious about what will happen."

"How did everything go? Any luck with your missions?" Dehya asked.

"Let's each report back one by one," Alhaitham stated. "I'll start first. We have made the necessary modifications to the Akasha Terminal. In addition, the props required are also ready."

Cyno frowned. "Who was behind it?"

Cyno scowled while Collei frowned at the reminder of the doctor and the lightning because of the hat-wearing harbinger. Meanwhile, Tighnari winced at the reminder.

"Uh... Well, that's the tough part... What should I say, traveler? 'The Fatui' or 'The Balladeer'?" Dehya asked Lumine for confirmation.

"Technically, it's the balladeer but at the same time..."

"Okay, let's not blame the traveler for something she didn't really do."
