At this moment I don't think I've ever hated Gregor more.

Two days after we had that stupid conversation and  I'm spending the night with him. Again.

I don't know what happened or why our trip took longer than expected but we had to keep watch together for one more night.

"What was it that you wanted to explain?" I asked him after everyone had gone to sleep.

"You won't understand me at first but just hear me out. I shouldn't have done what I did when we were alone. I know it's not a big deal for you and I like you a lot but-," he paused. A look of pain flashed across his face.

"But what?"

"Back in Regalia. There's this girl."

This was it for me. I scooted away from Hazard and moved my head that was leaning on his shoulder.

"What are you doing I haven't finished explaining."

"I don't need to hear anything. You have a girl so I'll get away from you."

"I don't-. Lizzie listen. I don't like her nearly as much as I like you. I would just call her a friend. Everyone else though thinks that we are and should be in a relationship or something. I don't want to but she does. I couldn't let anyone see us. Not yet."

So he did really have a good reason. And now I was more than sure about his feelings. He sees this girl as a friend but he doesn't like her as much as he likes me. So I'm more than a friend to him.

"Yea. I'm sorry about not listening earlier," I said.

"Is your ankle feeling better?"

"Yea it is. Howard said I can get on it now just not too much. I won't really need to be walking around much though because we're on sea for the rest of this."

I moved closer to Hazard and took the position I had before, leaning on his shoulder. We sat there staring at the clearing for a while.

Our faces were so close I barely had to turn my head when our lips connected. Something I had never felt before rushed through me. A tingling, soothing sensation. He pulled away staring into my eyes and got up.

"I have to wake them up now," he said. Then he smiled. "See you later."

I smiled back and got to my feet. Hazard had woken up Ripred who used his 'better method' to wake everyone up.

The next thing I heard was Gregor groaning from Ripred's weight on his back and yelling at Ripred. Soon enough everyone was awake, finishing breakfast and getting ready for the 10 minute walk to the docks. Gregor walked beside me at the very back of the line because I would slow everyone down. We waited till everyone had gone for a while and walked alone.

"I actually thought you were joking," was all I flatly said.

"Well did it help or not," he asked.

"I'd rather not-."

"Tell me.

"Fine. He said like a bunch of stuff but there was something about liking me more than a friend and..."

"And what?" Gregor asked.

I just couldn't answer him. I knew I was red. Very red.

"What happened?"

"He... kissed me. But it was nothing, it-," It took me till then to realise that Gregor had stopped behind mid tracks.

He finally came back to his senses and jogged back up to me. "You did what?!"

"It was just-."

"So it did work. I told you it would," Gregor said with a grin.

We had now caught up to the others just as they were getting to the large clearing that the dock sat on.

"Might as well get over our plan for the sea. Boat 1," Ripred said pointing to the boat on his right. "We'll have Howard steering, Pandora, Luxa, Aurora, Boots, Temp, Hades, and myself. The smaller boat will have Gregor, Ares, Hazard, Tetris, Lizzie and Artemis. Equal amounts of food will be put into both boats and boat 2 will be pulled by boat 1. If needed Hazard can control the smaller boat," Ripred finished.

I went to the smaller boat that was already secured to the bigger one. Hazard was already on the boat loading food, water and supplies into the bottom floor compartment. When he noticed I was about to get on the boat, he came over to help me without a word. As he took my hands he gave me the same look he gave me the night before. The one I wasn't able to read.

"Thanks. Do you need help?" I asked him.

"No. I'm just about done," he told me.

"What do you do on here all day?"

"I don't know. Sit around?" Hazard said.

"Sounds fun," I said dully. I went to the edge of the boat and looked over the wall to the jungle behind us. There was nothing really. Just trees. But there it was! The very thing that startled me during the snake attack.

The fast figure that flew past us through the trees but this time it was going back and forth, as of watching us. I went over to where Hazard was, grabbed my bow and arrows and aimed and arrow to a certain spot. The figure was going back and forth as quickly as it was before. I had my eyes trained on it as it went back and forth. I released my arrow just as it was about to pass. The arrow made contact with a squishy sound. I jumped off the boat without thinking and was about to make my way to the trees before Hazard stopped me.

"Where are you going?"

"Nowhere," I paused thinking of if I should lie to Hazard or not. "Nevermind just come with me."

Hazard came without and argument even though he obviously didn't want to. We went towards the trees to find whatever it was I shot down. On the floor, between the trees was a possum.
