WEDDING DAY
Gregor woke up already drenched in sweat. He was nervous. Too nervous. Too nervous to be ready for this. But he was doing it anyways. He got up and sat in the running water for half an hour zoned out before snapping back to his senses. He ate breakfast alone in the luxury room and went to Miravet, where he was supposed to, to get ready. He had finally finished when the stylists decided to leave his hair alone and let him go. Luxa was no where to be seen which was expected. Gregor had chosen Hazard, Howard and Mareth as his best men. Ares, as his bond was going to have to be on stage with him. The groomers had a good time trying to make him look at east presentable for the wedding. They both flew to the arena where everything was explained to Gregor, Howard, Hazard, Mareth and their bonds by Ripred.
"We'll start with the classic wedding stuff. Luxa comes down with Vikus, vows, rings, blah blah blah. Then we get to the crowning. You, Gregor have a bunch of promises or whatever to make in front of Regalia. Then we get the reception, you enjoy yourselves and we're done."
Gregor spent the most of their remaining 30 minutes sitting on one of the tables with Hazard.
"As soon as you get free time, we get that book. We've waited long enough as it is," Hazard said.
"What was it called again?" Gregor asked, absent minded.
"'Wonders of the Overland' try to get it tonight if you can," Hazard said.
Just then, Gregor got called to the make shift backstage just as the first Regalian citizens arrived. After about 10 minutes, one of the members of the council, who was backstage with him, went into the stage.
"People of Regalia, we have gathered here today for the unison of the Warrior and our Queen and crowning of our new king," this was Gregor' que and he walked into the stage with Ares, Mareth, Hazard and Howard behind him.
Just then the music started. It was slow music. That was all Gregor knew. He was never really a music guy. Luxa walked down the aisle. Gregor had made a good choice with the colours because she looked marvellous in the dress. Purple was always Luxa's colour. Matched with the gold accents the dress was stunning. Luxa walked down, staring into his eyes with a light smile on her face. This had to be the most she had smiled in public. She stopped at the top of the stage and they faced each other. Hazard, who was carrying the rings gave the cushion holding them to the council member. They both put the rings on each other.
"Queen Luxa of Regalia, do you take Gregor the Overlander to be your husband from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, in health, to love and cherish till parted by death," the council member asked.
"I do," Luxa said holding back tears.
"Gregor the Overlander,do you take Queen Luxa to be your wife from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, in health, to love and cherish till parted by death," he asked Gregor.
"I do," he replied.
Gregor and Luxa had already locked lips before the man could call for it. After that Luxa an everyone else got off the stage and it was Gregor and Vikus remaining.
"Gregor the Overlander, do you promise to protect Regalia and it's citizens, to serve and rule Regalia until the day you die," Vikus asked him, holding a crown above his head.
"I promise to protect Regalia and it's citizens, to serve and rule Regalia till the day I die," Gregor promised.
The crown was placed on his head and the arena erupted into cheers. Gregor could he Lizzie and Hazard in the front row smiling at him beside his family where his dad was giving him a thumbs up.
