What is happening?

That was all that was on Gregor's mind before he walked into Hazard's room. It had been 2 days since the incident under the palace and Hazard was now fixed up enough to be released. They were just waiting for Howard to go from his last patient. This was the first one on one tie Gregor had had with Hazard since he got injured.

"Hey how are you?" Gregor asked although he already knew. He looked like nothing had happened. He was sitting up on the edge of his bed reading something.

"I'm doing better than before," he said

Howard came in just then and quickly checked Hazard's arm. "Sorry I'm in a rush. You're good to go whenever Hazard," he said.

"Ready to go?" Hazard asked as he got off the bed.

"Wait. Can we talk," Gregor said, stopping him. Hazard sat back down. "I don't know what happened that day. Wether it was fear or something else but I know you didn't mean what you said to Lizzie. So what really did you mean?"

"Gregor it's nothing," he said hoping Gregor would get off there. "Fine. I don't think I have to explain how I feel again but there is something you don't know. We all know this is going to end in some sort of quest. Something dangerous at least. And if Lizzie keeps getting tangled into this she's going to have no choice but to go," Hazard explained. He seemed to be weighing wether he would say the next sentence. That's what happened to my mother."

"I get trying to cut her off to protect her but the farther we get into this, the more I think Lizzie and Boots are supposed to go. I think you should be a little more sincere about your feelings to Lizzie though. She was really hurt that day," Gregor said.

Hazard sat in silence considering what Gregor had just told him. "Do you know where she is? I want to apologise."

"Maybe later. I was a supposed to get you for a meeting we're having. While you were healing we come to a conclusion about what we should do and are now finalising but everyone wanted to hear from you first," Gregor said.

They started making their way to the war room silently.

"Is Lizzie still here?" Hazard asked suddenly.

"Yes she's still here. I don't think she's planning on leaving until school starts again."

Now they had entered the room and everyone was waiting.

"Temp!" Hazard said as he gave the roach a light hug.

"We had Temp agree to come yesterday," Luxa told him.

Gregor took a seat next to Luxa at the head of the table leaving the only open seat to be beside Lizzie. Hazard sat down beside her but Gregor knew he would be mad for setting him up like that.

"Ok everyone. We are here to make a decision about what we are to do with the prophecy. We now know what the prophecy tells us to but we need to make a decision as a group," Ripred said. "Who goes and who doesn't. According to the prophecy, Gregor, Ares, Lizzie, Boots and Temp all have to go. We now have to decide on everyone else-."

"So I don't get a say in if I have to go?" Lizzie asked.

"Not really. Let's continue. Naturally Luxa wants to go but I don't think that's a good idea," Ripred continued.

"I don't care what you say, I'm going," Luxa said sternly.

"I know. Now, other than Luxa,Aurora and me, there are a few more people I would like to join. Like Howard and Pandora if they may. You both always are helpful," Ripred said.

"Yes. We will join you in the quest," Howard told him.

"Great. I don't know if Hazard would like to come but that's all we need."

"Hazard isn't going anywhere," Luxa said before he could object.

"But I want to Luxa. Please. I'll be more help than you think. I've been training in the hospital with Howard," Luxa raised and eyebrow at Howard who confirmed his statement with a nod. "Please Luxa."

"You can come. Just stay out of trouble," Luxa said reluctantly.

Vikus then, for the first time made his presence known. "This is what you are going to do. Your goal is to destroy the 'possums' home. Mainly their food supply they have taken out of our dear rat population. Once that's gone they'll die off on their own according to Overland observations on them and the prophecy. You will have one more flier chosen to go with you as well. We leave tomorrow at dawn. No one outside of this room knows about this and no one should. I advise you start preparing for the journey. Don't be late tomorrow morning," Vikus finished dismissing them all.
