(Tom POV)

It's now 8:20 AM, and Derek messaged me, saying that he'll come to pick me and the others up at half past. I told the others about it when they woke up, and they're all prepared as well. We finished our breakfast, brought some bags to carry any information we need to take back with us, and are currently at the park, waiting for Derek. Everything's going perfect, well, almost. Daniel got hit with a stomach illness and had to stay behind, but Isabelle is well enough to join us.

Me and Kyle are playing a Sonic trivia game, trying to name obscure Sonic facts, while Roger's doing some research of his own, trying to find anything about that disc. As for the others, Mike and Vicky are plotting their future dates, and Isabelle is currently staring at a closed playground, almost like she's in a trance. Soon, a large police van pulls up, as Derek steps out and approaches us.

Derek: So, you guys ready for this?

Tom: Absolutely. We need to know what happened, and to do that, we need to know what the police are hiding.

Kyle: (chuckles) You're sounding a bit like that Cole guy.

Tom: Shut up, Kyle.

Derek: All right, break it up. Before we head off, I'm noticing that one of you is missing. Care to explain?

Isabelle: Oh, Daniel said he doesn't feel well, so we're letting him rest.

Derek: Thanks, miss. Now, let's get this task done.

Derek opens the door to the back, as we climb in and take our seats. Sure, there weren't any seatbelts, only some benches, but it was better than colliding with each other every time we stop. As soon as we take our preferred seats, the engine roars alive as we speed off towards the police station...

(Daniel POV)

Man, those guys really fell for it. Guess they're still believing that this "Cole" stranger, but I'm not. I mean, who calls you randomly, and says that they know who killed your best friend? I've seen enough detective movies to know that the person that gives you hidden information on murders, is usually the murderer 90% of the time.

Classic movie tropes aside, I begin moving items in Kyle's room. From what I heard, Kyle took a disc that (Y/N) had before his demise, but never touched it after losing his friend. If he's hiding it, then that must mean it may contain something that'll give me some answers of my own. Some of those questions include why haven't they turned it in to the police? Or why haven't they played it themselves?

Eventually, I finally find the disc hidden at the back of the bottom drawer, with the words "Sonic.EXE" written on like a child did with a red marker. Were they seriously afraid of this disc? Well, only one way to find out. I head back to my room and put the disc into my laptop, expecting for it to not load due to all the school work taking up so much storage, but the game downloaded almost instantly. Soon, I clicked on the ring icon that popped up, and waited for the game to load.

(Y/N POV)

Okay, Xenophanes is getting excited, and I have zero clue as to why. Is another one of his friends coming over? If so, I hope it's either Majin or that Zephaniah guy they talked about a few months ago. Then again, it could be that he discovered a group of cheaters, and is already thinking about how to punish them. Either way, I'm about to find out, as I'm teleported to him, being greeted with his unnerving smile.

"Oh, my favourite toy, I have some great news! After nearly two years in this world of boredom, we're about to have a new player. The idea of bringing another helpless soul into our world got me thinking, how about you assist me? Oh, the look on their faces, seeing not one, but two deities of corruption destroying their sanity and hopes, before going in for the kill, the feeling is so delicious"
