(Daniel POV)

How long has it been? Days? Weeks? Months? There's no form of telling time in this demented world we've been trapped in. I've lost all hope in trying to find a way to escape back home, since those devils that call themselves "Gods" have complete control over this reality. If I try to search for a Chaos Emerald or any other similar powerful artifact, then they'd appear and either destroy, or teleport it to somewhere further away, forcing me to go on another scavenger hunt for their amusement.

Aside from me, there's also my sister and a friend of hers called Sarah that's also trapped in here with me. Sarah tries to act tough around those two monsters, making it seem like she's not frightened of them, but the minute she's alone with me and Isabelle, she lets her real self show. Sometimes, she speaks of how her brother must be devastated upon possibly hearing that she's dead. And as for Isabelle... She learnt what happens if you dare speak back to them.

(FLASHBACK)

"Welcome to our world, dear players. Hope your ready for an eternity under our rule~"

After the dark blue demon finished speaking, I looked over to my sister and her friend, who were speechless for a moment. Then all of a sudden, Isabelle's face became a furious expression, as she pointed straight at the two monsters.

Isabelle: (furious) Who do you freaks think you are?! First you kill us, then you put us into these bodies, and now you suddenly expect us to grovel beneath your feet?! Well, you both can forget it!! There's no way that I'm listening to two demons that not only have a bad haircut, but also having to grow some crystals in an attempt to get hard!

Daniel: (becoming nervous) Isabelle, I get that you're a bit upset, but you really shouldn't dare talk back to them. I did that once, and I nearly got my heart ripped out by a hook.

Isabelle: (shocked) What?! (looks to the two gods) So, aside from trying to look creepy, you're also threatening to end my cousin's life a second time?! What kind of monsters do you think you freaks are?!

Basilides: You'd be wise to take your cousin's advice more seriously, child. You are in the presence of two gods. (narrows its eye) And last I heard from my partner Xenophanes, you made the mistake of leaving while the game was still going. That is against the rules, and rulebreakers must be punished accordingly.

Isabelle: (more furious) First of all, I never wanted to be part of your stupid game! All that your "game" consisted of was just playing a level as a Sonic character, then watching your ridiculous friend kill them in a brutal way, or letting one of your henchmen do your dirty work! I bet that even your henchmen get sick of you after a while, having to deal with two monsters who kill without even trying to play fair!

Sarah: (notices the god's expressions) Isabelle, you might wanna stop-

Isabelle: (grins) And that's another thing! (points to Xenophanes) Your literal name is Xenophanes?! You named yourself after a Greek philosopher?! (starts laughing) Oh, man. And I thought you couldn't get more ugly after that look you have! Did you really shove crystals into your fur, thinking it'll make you look like a god?! Well, it makes you look like an embarrassment to demons everywhere!!

Sarah: (getting worried) Isabelle, please-

Isabelle: And for good measure, you-

Isabelle's cocky tone of voice is quickly changed to the sound of her chocking, as me and Sarah look to see Xenophanes now having his sharp hand holding my cousin by the neck, with his claws slowly digging into her skin. Soeaking of Xenophanes, while his grin still appears the same, one look into his eyes shows the complete frustration he's now about to unleash. Basilides also has the same look in his single eye, as he teleports right next to his partner in crime.
