(Tom POV)

Everyone here's starting to stare at me funny, must be because of that insane theory that just came into my head. Though, maybe telling them might benefit us, since it gives us a person to keep away from, and also reveals some kind of group for us to avoid. I take a deep breath, letting out a sigh, before looking towards everyone else, with them still looking at me.

Roger: Are you okay, dude? You seemed to be lost in thought.

Tom: I was, and it was because of some insane theory.

Derek: Lay it on us. All we have for evidence right now is the name of a cult, so stretching for theories is acceptable now.

Tom: All right. Well, you guys now about that Shannon girl at the funeral, right?

Everyone, except for Isabelle, nods.

Kyle: Of course I remember her, it was almost like she wasn't supposed to be there.

Derek: And according to (Y/N)'s parents, neither of them know her, so why are you bringing her up?

Tom: Well, after (Y/N)'s funeral was over, she approached me, talking about how she was sorry for me losing a close friend, and talking about how her lord would take good care of him for me.

Mike: Sounds like she's some kind of preacher for a nearby church. How does she play into that cult?

Vicky: Yeah, no offence, Tom, but this theory is beginning to sound crazy.

Tom: You want an answer? Well, here you go. When she was talking to me about that lord, she didn't refer to him as Jesus, or Zeus, or any other name. She said he was named X.

At that moment, I see everyone's eyes now widen in shock. I can't blame them, that's the same reaction I had when putting these pieces together. After a few minutes of silence, Derek interrupts by coughing into his fist.

Derek: All right, well, I think it's best that you all head back to the dorms for now. It's getting late, and we don't know who's gonna be roaming around at night.

Tom: Yeah, guess the investigation is on pause until we get another free day.

Derek: Correct. Now, let's go. I'll drive you six home.

(Isabelle POV)

Well, it's been a few days since that surprise theory, and we're all still shaken up. For starters, Kyle claimed he saw some red eyes staring at us when we passed the park, then Roger thought he saw some hooded figure drenched in blood pass by at a crossing, and even Tom was freaking out, mumbling about how he heard a voice. Still, we arrived back at the dorms and went to sleep.

After that, oh, boy. Due to the last few murders, not to mention Vicky's moment she had with me, the security is cranked up, to the point that there's a control panel in the security room for every door in the building! Like, I know you want to keep us safe, but you aren't gonna be able to do that if you try to put this place onto possible lockdowns!

Anyway, how the school's acting isn't the biggest focus on my mind, but rather where is Daniel? After we returned, we haven't seem him at all, not even a single notification from him or anything. Part of me is worried about him, but deep down, I know that he's a tough boy, and is just probably going out often.

But even that belief has a few flaws, as right now, I'm approaching his dorm room, ready to confront him and see if he's still sick, or is starting to feel better. Upon reaching the door, I start knocking on the wood, only to watch the door swing open the minute my hand brushes against it. That's strange. Daniel wouldn't leave his door unlocked.
