Epilogue

Naruto's POV:

I closed the last folder denying the transfer of our most valuable ER Resident to some hospital in Germany.

"That should be it, Prez," Jason took the maroon folder. "Wow, she still in such high demand."

I sighed, laying my head on the table, "Don't remind me."

My secretary smiled, "Well, we're done for the day. Time for me to head home."

I waved him off, "Say hi to Maemi for me."

"Will do," his face sparkled at the mention of his new fiancee.

I glanced at the golden band around my own ring finger and smiled. Well, I have my own special woman I need to get home to.

Standing up, I locked up all my filing cabinets and stuffed my laptop into my backpack. Closing my office floor, I decided to make a quick visit to the labor and delivery floor.

Skylar, the midwife and one of my wife's newest best friend, gave me a wave down the hallway which I returned. Every other employee bowed at me.

Room 5647 came into view. I knocked once and entered. A nurse was about to leave, she bowed her head too quickly and disappeared behind me.

"What's her problem?" I murmured to myself.

"Yo Naruto," Sasuke's tired voice diverted my attention back into the room. I pushed the curtains and entered.

Sakura was awake in the hospital bed with a smile. Sasuke was sitting on the little sofa underneath the window watching over his wife and -

"How's your kid?" I asked, walking over to my old friends.

Sakura, who was holding a baby girl wrapped in a pink blanket, looked at me, "Sarada is fine."

"Is she ready to meet her uncle yet?" I asked, looking at the little baby.

"No," Sasuke chuckled. "Your face is gonna scare her so don't bother."

I frowned at him, "Why don't you shut your mouth!"

"Make me," Sasuke growled.

"Guys," Sakura said once and that was enough. I shut my mouth and looked at the baby girl again. She had Sasuke's black hair but since she was asleep, I couldn't tell if she had her father's or mother's eyes.

I sighed, "Well I was just checking how you guys were doing. I'm heading out now."

Sasuke made the showing gesture with his hands, "Run along then. Don't keep Bookworm waiting."

I bid them goodbye before running towards the direction of emergency room. Shoot, I'm already fifteen minutes late. I know she won't be mad but I hate to keep her waiting.

As I burst into the ER, my eyes came upon a pretty bad scene. Doctors and nurses were running everywhere. Blood spots scattered all over the floors and clothing of every doctor. Unconcious bodies being rolled in and out of the EORs. The cries of help coming from every family member sickening.

I grabbed a nearby nurses and demanded, "What happened?"

"A building twenty-two story office building collapsed," she quickly said.

"Where's Dr. Uzumaki?"

"She's in an EOR treating the president of the building," the nurse replied. "He's in the worst condition because he was on the top floor."

"Any news?"

"He lost a leg due to the fall, his jaw snapped in an awkward position. A metal bar pierce some of his organs. And he hit his head so."
