(Y/N) And Gwen's Home, 2010

"I'm pooped (Y/N)... can you give me a foot massage?" Gwen asked from her newly installed bed. They had done some refurbishment work on the house and both had rooms now, albeit tiny ones.

"I'm as tired as you are Gwen." (Y/N) started working under the one person who hated him the most. J. Jonah. Jameson. That is a recipe for disaster but (Y/N) made it work, he had to.

When he joined, he was pretty bad at taking photographs, but he learned with time, 2 years later, he was J. Jonah's best Photographer.

And the fact he was the only one who could provide him with Up-Close shots of both Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider meant he was well paid. If he could say something about Jameson, It was that he paid well.

"My boss is a bitch... She can't go ten seconds without mentioning how good she is and how much Stark owes her." Gwen made faces to imitate her boss.

She found a job working in Stark Industries. The famous Iron Man's company.

Tony Stark's company.

It was a shocker for both (Y/N) and Gwen when they saw the news. 'Tony Stark reveals himself as the Iron Man.'

They could never even think about revealing their identities to the world.

"Have you even met the man in person?" (Y/N) was yet to come across even the superhero alter ego let alone the man. He moved over to Gwen's bed and laid on her leg much to her silent protest.

"No... I've seen glimpses of him. Like walking around Stark tower but no introductions." Gwen relented and let him rest on her legs.

"We're better at hero-ing then him." (Y/N) looked envious of the man and Gwen could sense where it was coming from.

They both knew they had a thing for each other, but were running circles around one another. When Gwen would find the courage to ask him out, he wouldn't be available or something would happen which didn't allow it to happen.

It was the same with (Y/N), it was if the universe wasn't allowing them to be with each other.

"Someone jealous?" Gwen teased the boy who blushed.

"N-No. Why would I be jealous of a man in a tin can..." (Y/N) hid his face from Gwen.

"Wellll... You don't need to be, I like my men tall and handsome... and kind... Men who can swing through the city, saving people at their own peril..." Gwen laid her heart out to (Y/N) whose own heart felt like it was about to explode.

He turned to meet her eyes, still on her legs. (Y/N) got up so that he was sat in front of her.

"...I dunno what to say to that Gwen... I- I feel the same way..." (Y/N) and Gwen forgot about anything that was happening around them. Right now, it was only them.

"I didn't say it was you, idiot..." Gwen's face betrayed her words, Neither said anything more.

It was as if the universe finally approved of them and some cosmic force was pulling them together.

Just as their lips were about to connect, the universe did it's thing again.

Gwen's phone rang loudly, making both of the young adults open their eyes, startled.

"Uh- I- Uh, I'm sorry, I have to take this (Y/N)..." Gwen pulled away from boy's arms and ran towards her phone.

(Y/N) was disappointed but he knew it was something from her work.

"(Y/N) I have to go... Work thing. Y'know Stark Expo? They are calling me in to work on everything." Gwen didn't meet the boys eyes and ran towards the bathroom to clean herself up.
