Kensi's POV

I am so confused right now! "Can I get confirmation that we just heard that? Deeks was going to be a father? What just happened? I am so confused!" I yelled.

"Kensi, calm down. I heard it. It's going to take a while for it to sink in. Haha, all this time, I thought Deeks couldn't keep a girl for two hours, let alone two years!" Callen replied, giggling at the thought.

"Yeah, I know right. Just think, if that girl didn't have a miscarriage, Deeks would be a father!" Sam confirmed. I shivered at the thought. "What's wrong Kensi? Too cold in here for you?" Callen asked, giggling again. "No. I'm fine. Just the thought of Deeks being a father gives me the creeps. Just imagine him having a kid. The only thing the kid would know how to do is eat, sleep and repeat!" I laugh, along with Sam and Callen, until I heard a whistle come from the top of the stairs.

"Guys? We have a problem." Eric informed, turning on his heel and walking back into ops, with me, Callen and Sam following closely behind.

"What's up Eric?" I asked, turning to face the screen. "There was a shooting at Venice beach, about half an hour ago." Eric explained. "Okay, why does this involve us?" Sam asked.

"Guys, Deeks was the one being shot at. Turns out, Gina wasn't here for a 'high school reunion'" Nell stated. "What are you talking about?" Callen asked. "It turns out, Gina and Max are working for Brandel. They had orders to kill Deeks." Nell continued. I felt like someone had pulled my heart out and crushed it into a million pieces. "Is Deeks okay?" I asked. "We don't know. He was sent in for surgery, but we haven't heard anything yet." Eric explained. "I'm getting a big sense of déjà vu." I informed. "Isn't Max Deeks' brother? Why would he want to hurt Deeks?" Sam questioned. "Yeah, I mean, this is WAY beyond sibling rivalry." Callen agreed. "I don't know, but right now Max is turning out to be quite the quintessential enemy! OSP could be compromised!" Eric stated.

"I have to go see Deeks!" I yelled, starting to walk out of ops, before Nell stopped me. "Kensi, you would be much more help here. Hetty is currently with Deeks. She will make sure he is okay and keep us updated." Nell informed, I nodded. Okay, Hetty's with him. That's a good thing.

"Eric, Nell? We need this place on lockdown! Now! No one leaves, no one comes in. Clear?" Callen instructed, Eric and Nell both nod their heads in agreement as they clicked some buttons, pulled some triggers and the building was completely locked down. Great. Now what? "Okay, so what do we do now? We don't have a location on where we think Gina or Max is?" I asked.

"We're working on that. We are running a kaleidoscope, but nothing yet." Eric informed. "Okay, so let me get this straight. Gina used to date Deeks, they were going to have a kid together, she runs away when she finds out she had a miscarriage and now she's looking to kill him? Something doesn't add up here."

"I know. I feel like we're missing a piece of the puzzle." Eric voiced. "Eric, this is not a puzzle! We're not looking to see who can solve the daily sudoku!" I yelled, making Eric jump. "Kensi, calm down! Now, do any of you guys know where Gina has been? Like where she went when she left him?" He asked. "Ohh, I don't know, probably some 'I just ran away from my boyfriend' club?" I stated, sarcastically. "Kensi, do you have to use sarcasm?" He responded. "Ohh, I'm sorry. Maybe I didn't tell you. If you ask me a stupid question, you're likely to get a sarcastic answer!" I yelled.

"Okay, Kensi? You need to calm down, okay? Let's step outside for some fresh air, okay?" Nell suggested. I nodded and we walked out of ops, and outside. I leant against the wall and slid down, resting my head in my hands. Nell came and sat next to me. "It's going to be okay. Deeks is going to be fine. He always recovers. You haven't forgotten that promise already have you? I know you want to be there for him, but right now, all you can do is sit tight and hope we find something that can help us track down Gina and Max. We still have Brandel locked up, so he isn't a threat anymore. We have made sure nobody can be in contact with him." Nell informed, pulling me into a hug. I couldn't help but break down. I don't want Deeks to die, what if Deeks doesn't make it? I don't think I can handle another Dom situation. Loosing him was one of the hardest things I've had to do and it's only going to be one-hundred times harder with Deeks. I think I love him.

Wait! Did I just think that? Oh my god, please don't tell me I just thought that! I can't be in love with my parter. It's against regulations. It's pretty clear he doesn't love me! He probably still loves that Gina chick. Why else would he go running after her and faint when she told him his baby died during pregnancy. Ohh god, I'm just rambling on.

"Kensi? Did you just say what I thought you said?" Nell asked. I looked at her confused. Ohh please don't tell me I said that out loud? Ohh great, I said that out loud! I'm dead. Physically and emotionally dead. "What?" I asked, as if I didn't hear what she said. Idiot! She's an intelligence analyst! Of course she knows I heard her! I am so dead. You know what, why don't I just go shoot myself right now? Leave some bad guy the hassle?

"Oh my god! You like Deeks! No wonder why you are suddenly so emotional! Normally you wouldn't care so much about a situation like this! Awww, that's so cute! Kensi and Deeks sitting in a-" Nell started. "Shut up before I go up to ops and tell Eric that you have a crush on him!" I threatened, making her instantly shut up. "Sorry! And hey! I don't have a 'crush' on Eric!" Nell yelled. "Haha, Nell. You don't have to be so embarrassed. It's pretty obvious, they way you twirl your hair around and use all of those technical words when you're around him. It's so adorable!" "Who else knows?" She asked, not bothering to argue any more. "Pretty much everyone. Apart from Eric. Yeah, he's pretty clueless. And I think he likes you too." I stated, standing up, brushing off the dirt on my butt. "He doesn't like me! Do you not see me? I look like freakin' Velma from Scooby-Doo!" Nell yelled, making me laugh. "Nell, your just as clueless as he is! Do you not notice how, when he's around you, he finds it hard to talk? Or spends ages staring at you, admiring how beautiful you are, how many times he's gotten distracted while briefing us about a case when you say something smart and witty. Face it Nell, he likes you!" I yelled, noticing the blush forming on Nell's cheeks. My mood has finally lifted a little bit, until I realise we still don't know anything about Deeks or have a location on Max and Gina.
