Sam's POV
We got to the hospital to see how Nell was doing. We walked into the waiting room, while we waited for Kensi to get here. I don't exactly know what was going on with Nell or why she was so depressed or whatever, but I do know that Kensi could help her and the only person Nell wanted to talk to, was Kensi.
I sat down next to G, playing a game on my phone, as Kensi walked in. She saw us and walked up to us. "I'm gonna go talk to Nell, I'll come and get you when we're done." She informed, walking to Nell's room, knocking and walking in.
It was about half an hour before Kensi walked back out and got us, by this time, Deeks had joined us. We all walked in and saw Nell laying sadly on her bed. Her eyes were puffy and red and it looked like she had been crying. I looked over at Eric, who was sitting next to her, holding her hand tightly. "Nell? Are you okay?" I asked, walking up to the end of her bed. She just nodded. "Nell, what's wrong? You can tell us. We are here for you. No matter what." Callen informed. Nell nodded once again. "It's nothing, I'm fine." She croaked. Deeks sighed. "Nell? I know I don't really know you that well and we never really talk that much, but I do know that when a girl says she is fine, she isn't. You aren't your usual bubbly self and it looks like you have been crying. Please tell us what's wrong. We might be able to help you." Sam tried. Nell shook her head. "You can't. At least not with this." She replied.
I shook my head. "Nell, please, what's going on? You're scaring us." Nell looked at Eric, who nodded in approval. "I was pregnant." Nell explained. Wait, what? "What do you mean, was pregnant? Did you already give birth? Are you a mother?" Deeks asked, clear confusion crossing his voice. "No, Deeks. The baby died when Jack stabbed me. I didn't know I was pregnant until this morning when the x-rays and scans came back." Nell added. My heart sunk for her. "Ohh, Nell. I'm so sorry! It's going to be okay, we are here for you. Twenty-four-seven. Where ever and when ever. If there is anything we can do, please let us know." Callen explained. Nell nodded, a few tears starting to drip from her face. Eric squeezed her hand, comforting her. "That's not all. The doctors are saying that because of the surgery, I may not ever be able to have kids again." Nell added.
I stepped back in shock. Nell can never have kids? I don't even know what to say. I am completly speechless. I look over at G, who looks just as shocked as I do. But then I turn to Deeks and he looks like he already knew the last part of what Nell just told us. But then it hit me, of course he knows. Kensi. Girls love gossip and apparently, Deeks does too. Which wouldn't really surprise me, after all, he is pretty much a girl. With those 'golden flowing locks' as he calls it.
I was about to go up to Nell and give her a hug, but something Deeks said, made me stop in my tracks. "Um guys, if you don't mind me asking...Who was the father? I mean, It couldn't have been Eric, right? I mean, we have been with you pretty much ever since you guys got together, so you couldn't have....you know." Eric looked at Nell and smiled reassuringly. "It was Eric's. There is something you guys should know...Eric and I have been secretly dating for about two months now. We are so sorry we didn't tell you guys, but we weren't sure how it was going to work out. We didn't want to tell you guys if we figured out that things wouldn't work out with us being a couple." Nell mentioned. "You're telling me you two have been dating for over two months and you didn't tell me? What about that whole thing on the 'Indiana Jones' ride? Those cute things you said to each other? I mean, was any of that real? Or did you just tell us that, so you wouldn't feel guilty about not telling us when it first happened?" Kensi asked, obviously feeling betrayed.
"Kens, it's not like that. Everything we told you was true. I'm so sorry Kens, I know I should have told you and I feel terrible. " Nell stated. "Guys, come on. Nell and Eric are together now. That's all that matters, right?" I asked. Everyone nodded and stopped talking.
I don't know what to say, so I just walk up to Nell, hugged her carefully and whisper in her ear. "I'm here for you. Anything you want. I know I can't make this situation any better for you, but I just want you to know I am here for you. You're strong, you can get through this. Eric better be supporting you and making you feel better, because if he is not, I will have to pound him." I joked, making Nell slightly smile. She hugged me back and whispered 'thanks' into my ear, kissing my cheek softly.
"Do you want to be alone?" Callen asked, after hugging her. Nell shook her head. "No. I want to get out of here. Can one of you please get my discharge papers? The doctors are saying I can leave today as long as I take it easy and don't go getting myself stabbed any time soon." Nell stated. Callen nodded and walked out to reception to get the papers. "So, what do you want to do? Go back to ops or your house?" Eric asked, looking at Nell.
"Neither." Nell replied. "Well, where do you want to go?" Callen asked. Nell smiled. "I want to go for a walk on the beach. Maybe even a swim." Nell replied. I looked at her and smiled. "I think we can do that, but I don't think you will be going swimming any time soon." Nell frowned at me. "Oh come on, not even a little splash?" She begged, like a five year old. "Fine, but you have to be careful and Eric has to be with you at all times, so you don't hurt yourself or over do it." I spoke. Nell nodded, understandably.
Callen walked back into the room. "Okay, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Nell looked at him. "I thought you went to get the discharge papers?" Callen laughed. "Well, Miss Jones. It turns out, when your an NCIS agent, you don't need discharge papers. Hetty has already approved your release, so you're ready to go." Nell smiled, getting off the bed. She went to stand up, but fell, unable to stand. Eric quickly got her arm and draped it around his neck, holding her up. Once she was stable and could walk, Eric got her arm and moved it away from his neck, interwining his hand with hers and wrapping his other arm around her waist. They were so cute, but too lovey dovey. However, I guess they would feel that way whenever Michelle is around. We all walked out of the hospital. I walked out with Callen and Deeks following behind, while I turn around to see Kensi wasn't there. "Where'd Kens go?" I asked, making everyone turn and look around for Kensi, who was no where to be seen. "Guys! Where the hell is Kensi?" Deeks yelled, once realising she was gone. Everyone shook their heads trying to figure out where she went.
