Deeks' POV
"Marty! How's it going?" Ray asked, pulling me into a man hug, when I walked into the safe house, where he, Jenna and their daughter were waiting. "Hey man, it's going good. How about you? Awww who's this little cutie pie?" I replied, looking over to Jenna who was holding their baby. "I'm doing great. This little cutie pie is Martina. Named specially after my best friend and one of the most awesome people on this planet." Ray added, making me smile at his comment. "Aww Ray, she's gorgeous!" I squealed, unfortunately sounding like a girl. "Clearly she gets it from Jenna." Ray joked, making Jenna and I laugh.
"So, how's things with Wikipedia? You guys together yet?" He asked, leaning in closer increasing curiosity. I laughed, "Things are going good. I think. And yeah, we are. Since a few days ago, actually." Ray jumped in excitement and gave me a hug, "Comgratz, man. I always knew you guys would get together." I smiled at him and sat down in the dark brown couch, turning to face them.
I sat with Ray, Jenna and Martina for a few hours, while we caught each other up on what had been happening the past few years, considering we weren't able to have contact each other, because of Ray's new identity. The only reason we can meet now, is because we found out that the guys that were trying to kill him are dead. Now hopefully there is no one out there that wants his head on a stake, because well, I don't know about Ray, but I am definitely not wishing for a cave camp fire ritual or anything.
"Hey Marty, we should probably get going. Don't be a stranger. Give me a call. Keep me updated on things with Wikipedia, yeah?" Ray instructed. I nodded, standing up and giving him another man hug and Jenna an awkward side hug. I leant down and kissed Martina's forehead softly. "Don't forget Uncle Marty, okay?" I whispered, as they walked out of the safe house. I followed them out, making sure they got in their car safely.
After they drove off, I locked the front door, after grabbing my stuff. I walked to my car when my phone started ringing. I pulled it out of my pocket, once I got in my car, and answered the call. "Deeks." I was surprised by the voice on the other end. "Hey Deeks, it's Eric. I was just wondering, did you wanna go night surfing?" Eric asked, through the phone. "Uhm, yeah. Sounds good. I can pick you up in two minutes, if you want." I replied. "That'd be great. See you then."
I hung up my phone and drove straight to Eric's, considering I already had my surf board on my car. When I got there, he was already waiting out the front of his house, with his surfboard leaning against the railings that surrounded his front porch. He smiled when he saw me and came up to my car, with his surfboard in his hands. "Hey, mate. You ready?" I asked, helping Eric lift his board on top of my car and tie the ropes around it securely, so it wouldn't fall off during the drive. Eric only lived not even two minutes from the beach, so it wouldn't be a very long drive. "All ready!" Eric stated, getting into the passenger side of my car. I smiled, as we drove off.
"So, everything okay with you and Nell now? No trouble?" I asked curiously, as we pulled up to the beach. Eric nodded, "Yeah, I think we're all good. What's this about Sam and Callen 'interrupting' a scene at your house this morning? You finally found a girl? Or was it just another one of your 'spring flings'?" Eric asked. I smiled, everyone knew about this now, didn't they? I just hope no one knew that it was Kensi. Who knows how much trouble we would get in. Not only from Hetty, but I'm pretty sure Callen and Sam would have me beaten to the floor, begging for mercy.
"It's not even spring, man. Summer is still fresh in the air." I smiled, raising my hands in the air and taking a big sniff, smelling the beautiful flowers, gritty sand and salty waves. Eric laughed, clearly still waiting for a proper answer. I sighed, "There may be a special girl in my life, yes. And no, I am not telling you anything else. That's all you get. For now. We don't want to go public, right now. She's worried, because she doesn't think her boss or family would approve of the relationship." Eric looked at me and frowned sadly, but nodded in understanding.
"Beautiful night for catching waves, hey?" He stated, changing the topic. I nodded. "Come on, let's go. Last one in has to pay for the drinks after!" I yelled, running as fast as I could to the water, holding my board under my arm. Eric caught up not long after, struggling to catch his breath. "Come on, man! That's not fair! You're trained for this running fast stuff. I'm trained for clicking keys fast on a computer. So unfair!" Eric spoke, making me laugh. He was right, he wasn't exactly the fittest of the pack, but he was a really good surfer, maybe even better than me. Wait, what's happening to me? Nobody's better than me. Well, maybe Kensi.......Now I'm rambling.
We got to the water and surfed for about two hours, enjoying the moonlight and brightly lit stars in the sky. It was really quiet and there wasn't a single person to be seen. I lifted my wrist out of the water, looking at my waterproof watch. It was twelve-thirty, no wonder why there wasn't any people here.
I sat up on my board, dangling my legs off the board and just sat there, looking up further into the ocean. It really was a beautiful night. I looked over to Eric, who was doing the same thing as me, until something really bad happened, causing a world load of pain.
