Chapter 31- We Fall In Love By Chance. We Stay In Love By Choice.

Eric's POV

I was shocked and worried. I felt like my whole life was going to end. Nell was the light that guided me, when I was in complete darkness. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without her.

"Wait! What are you talking about? What happened?" Sam yelled, facing the doctor. The doctor looked at him. "Miss Jones has lost a lot more blood than we expected. She is highly sedated, but she will be okay. We will have to keep her in hospital for a few days. You can see her now." The doctor informed.

I looked at him and sighed of relief. She was going to be okay. That's all that matters. The team all smiled and then looked at me. I didn't even realise I was crying. "Hey, Eric. What did I tell you? Nell's going to be fine!" Kensi squealed, hugging me tightly. "Well? What are you still doing here? Go see your girlfriend!" Joelle yelled. I looked at the team. "Come with me? I'm sure Nell would want to see you." I stated, turning towards them.

"You guys go. We'll catch up with you later. What do you say,Kam? You up for a hot chocolate?" Michelle asked Kam. Kam nodded. "Joelle? You wanna come with us? " Michelle asked, turning towards Joelle. Joelle nodded and turned to Callen, giving him a kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you later. Go see your friend!" Joelle ordered, as her, Michelle, Kam and Aiden all walked downstairs to the cafeteria.

Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks all walked with me to Nell's room.

When we got to the door, I looked through the window. She was sleeping. I opened the door and quietly walked in, pulling out the chair next to the bed and sat down. Kensi walked in and stood next to me, with her hand on my shoulder. "We'll let you be alone with her, for a little while." I nodded and they walked back out of the room and sat down outside.

I took Nell's hand and held it in mine. I looked into her closed eyes and a tear slowly dropped from my eye. "You know, I always thought love was just like any other word.," I whispered quietly. "But that was only until I met you." I added, looking down at our hands. "When you came into my life, you gave a whole new meaning to love.....and my god, Nell Jones...I love you." I finished, looking back up. "I love you too, Eric." Nell replied, opening her eyes slowly. "Nell! Did I wake you?" I asked, looking into her eyes. She shook her head slowly. "No. I was awake. That was so sweet Eric." Nell informed. I looked into her eyes and smiled. "Do you want me to get the nurse?" I asked, she shook her head. "No. Please. Just stay with me." She replied. I nodded. "Ohh, Nell. I'm not going anywhere." She smiled, gripping my hand tighter.

"Did they get him? Jack. Did they get Jack?" She asked. I smiled and giggled quietly. "Yeah, Rockstar. They got him. You did a good job." I replied. She nodded, in thanks. I leant up to her face and kissed her forehead, softly. "I love you so much, Nell." She looked up into my eyes and smiled. "I know. You just said that thirty seconds ago." She replied, smiling widely at me. "I know. But It's true. I love you." I stated, smiling back at her. "Well in that case, I love you too." She added, as I kissed her soft on the lips.

I pulled away slowly when I heard a cough at the door. Deeks. "Hey, Nell. How you feeling?" Callen asked. "Callen! Kensi! Sam! Deeks!" Nell yelled, looking at the team standing at the door. "Hey, Nelly" Kensi yelled, walking up and standing next to Nell's bed. "I'm okay. I'm kind of thirsty though." Nell replied.

"I'll go get you something." I informed, standing up from my chair, before Nell pulled me back down. "No, Eric. It's okay. You said you would stay!" She yelled. I giggled, looking at her. "Don't stress man, I got it. Water okay?" Sam asked. Nell nodded. "Umm, yeah waters fine. Thanks, Sam." "You got it, Nell." Sam replied, walking out of the room.

"You did a great job today, Nell. You should be proud of yourself." Callen stated. "Thanks G. Hey? Where's Hetty?" Nell asked. "She's dealing with Jack at the boatshed." Callen informed.

Nell nodded.

"Now, the doctor said you're going to have to stay in here for a few days. Just until you are completely healed." Kensi stated. Nell sighed. "Fine."

Nell turned towards me. " Eric? It's okay if you want to go. You don't have to stay here. I know you don't like hospitals." I shook my head. "I already told you, Rockstar. I'm not going anywhere. Unfortunately, you're stuck with me!" I joked, making everyone laugh. "I was hoping you'd say that." Nell replied, looking at me and holding my hand tightly. "Aww, don't worry Rockstar. I would never want to break your heart!" I replied, laughing quietly. "It would be my privilage to have my heart broken by you." Nell replied. Kensi started laughing. "Seriously, Nell? The Fault In Our Stars? Good one!"

Callen, Deeks and I looked at each other in confusion. "The Fault In Our Stars? What is that a joke?" Deeks asked. "You've never watched The Fault In Our Stars?" Nell and Kensi asked simultaneously, clearly shocked. "No. What is it about?" I asked. Nell and Kensi looked stunned. "Just watch it okay?" Nell ordered, looking at Callen, Deeks and I. Deeks shrugged his shoulders. "It's not that love story where in the end the guy dies, is it?" Deeks asked. Nell nodded, sadly."I don't know, Nell. I'm not really one for romance and death. I'm more of a you know, Star Wars and Indiana Jones...kind of person." I informed. Nell looked at me. "Fine. Don't watch it. Be a mean boyfriend." Nell joked.

"It's getting quite late, we should get going. We'll come and see you tomorrow. Okay?" Kensi stated. Nell nodded. Kensi gave Nell and I a hug and started to walk out. Deeks came around and kissed Nell's forehead and shook my hand. "See you later, love birds!"

Sam walked back in, just after Kensi and Deeks left and handed Nell a cup of water. "Yeah, I guess we should get going too, hey Sam? Joelle and Michelle are probably waiting." Callen informed. Sam nodded and they both gave Nell a hug and left.

I turned to Nell. "You should get some rest, Rockstar." I ordered. Nell nodded. I pulled the blankets over Nell and kissed her forehead. "I'll be right here, if you need me. Okay?" I asked. Nell shook her head. "What do you think you're doing?" Nell asked. I looked a her in confusion. "You're not sleeping on a chair. Nope. Get in." She commanded. I laughed. "Nell, what if I hurt you?" I asked.

Nell shook her head again. "Ahh, Beale. You could never hurt me. Come on, please?" Nell begged, moving over in her bed. "Okay." I agreed, carefully getting into the bed, next to Nell. She carefully turned over and faced me, giving me a quick kiss and snuggling into my chest. I put my arm around her waist and hugged her carefully, stroking her hair. "Good night, Eric." She stated, before drifting off to sleep. "Good night, Nell."
