Eric's POV
I picked up the phone and called Callen, letting him know about Siderov. He told me to look for any traffic cameras in the area, trying to figure out where Siderov was headed. I was still confused. Things just didn't add up. I'm worried about Deeks. We just got a call from the hospital. He was in a coma. I guess that's what torchure and a bullet can do to you in less than twenty-four hours! I just hoped he was going to be okay.
I was starting to look through camera footage when Nell walked back in. "Found anything?" She asked. I shook my head. "Nothing so far. Siderov knows the city. Meaning, he knows how to avoid traffic cameras. It's not going to be easy." I mentioned. "I know. Any news on Deeks?" Ohh great. Do I seriously have to be the one to tell her? I thought Hetty already told her. I mean, Hetty told me this morning. She didn't want Kensi knowing yet, I just thought that she would have told Nell. I guess, how can you upset that gorgeous little face. "Umm, yeah. He'll be okay." I told her. That way, I haven't upset her and technically, I'm not lying. Deeks is going to be okay. Deeks is one for recovery!
"Oh, okay. That's good." She replied, taking her seat next to me. "Yeah." I agreed. She started typing away on her computer, trying to get in contact with people that were at Venice beach when the shooting took place, until the phone started to ring. "What have you got, Callen?" I asked, into to phone. "Okay, we got Gina. We're taking her to the boat shed. No sign of Max yet though. Any luck with those traffic cams?" He asked. "Nothing yet." "Okay, keep us posted." He stated. "Will do." I replied.
"They found Gina, but no sign of Max. They're taking her to the boat shed." I briefed.
I sat back in my chair, watching more footage from the security cameras. I honestly hate this part of my job, it's so boring, but then I realised the bag of green smarties that I had left over from St.Patrick's Day. I pulled them out of my bag and opened the packet, throwing a couple in my mouth. Nell just gave me the death stare, as if to say, you know Hetty's rule. Haha, she was downstairs, she can't see me! I was so relaxed, until I heard Hetty's voice. I looked back at my computer screen and Skype had opened up and Hetty was staring at me through the camera. "Do I have to remind you about our 'no food in ops' rule again, Mr Beale?" I jumped and quickly put the bag of smarties in my pocket. It's weird that they call them 'smarties', they obviously don't bring out the smart in people. If they did, I wouldn't be eating in ops in the first place. "Sorry, Hetty. It won't happen again." "Mhmm. Get back to work, Mr Beale. We have criminals to catch!" She replied, turning her webcam off, leaving me to my work. I didn't even realise Nell was laughing until I looked over at her. Gosh she's beautiful when she laughs. Who am I kidding? She's always beautiful!
Callen, Sam and Kensi decided to come back to ops, considering the only thing Gina was saying was that, she was in love with Deeks and it hurt too much for him to not want to be with her anymore. She said that Siderov had been looking for contacts of Deeks' to help find information about him. According to her, nothing about Deeks being hurt or killed was discussed and she has no idea where Siderov could be now. Callen and Sam seem to think she's telling the truth, however, Kensi didn't think so.
I walked down stairs with Nell and met up with Kensi, Callen and Sam. "Still no hits on kaleidoscope or traffic cams. We're still running it now, but I don't think we're going to find anything. Siderov's good at hiding." Nell informed. "Well, find him. Siderov is one for money, but along with that, he is also one for killing Deeks. And me, for that matter. What if we can lure him out? You know, set a trap?" Sam suggested. "Bad idea Sam, you're not doing that. We can't let you put you're life on the line. Do you not remember the last time you and Siderov where in the same room? He almost killed you!" Callen yelled. "G, I'm inclined to lure Siderov out. You need to use me to get to him. It's the only way we're going to find him." Sam argued.
"Miss Jones? My office?" Hetty called, walking towards her office. Everyone watched as Nell nodded her head and walked over to Hetty's office. What was happening? Is Nell okay? Does Hetty know something that I should?
