KATRINA
"I'm gonna say this once." Steve said as he stormed into the lab, Katrina and the twins following closely behind. "How about 'nonce?" Tony asked rhetorically as he continued to do whatever he was doing.
"Shut it down!" His voice was raised as he stepped forward towards him. Tony began to shake his head, "Nope, not happening." The captain tries to reason with him. "You don't know what your doing."
This time Bruce speaks up. "And you do? She's not in your head?" He gesture's to the younger brunette behind the wtich with the tool in his hand. "I know your angry..." Her voice was hesitant.
"Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." Katrina raises a brow without speaking, trying to swat away the dirty thought that came to mind. "Banner, after everything that happened-" Steve tried to continue but Tony cuts him off again to say "That's nothing compared to what's coming!"
"You don't know what's in there!" Wanda tries to get them to listen as Katrina shift uneasily. "This isn't a game-"
"The creature-" Obviously, Pietro was as bored with the arguing as Katrina was as he speeds around unplugging the cradle. "No, no. Go on. You were saying?" He retorted with his arms folded. A sudden bullet shoots up at him from under the glass floor sending the teen down.
"Pietro!" His twin yelled, moving towards the hole. As she does this, Bruce wounds his arms around her chest and arms trapping her against him as he whispers something in her ear. Everyone loudly argues as Katrina hesitates, standing off to the side struggling internally. Just as she makes up her mind and moves to help, Thor appears through a flurry of lighting and strikes the casket.
"Wait!" Bruce yells.
Something red launches itself at Thor, who throws it at a window, but the thing catches itself right before hitting it. Their group carefully makes their way to the odd red being as it slowly floats down towards them. "I'm Sorry, that was...odd." It sounded like J.A.R.V.I.S.
The Avengers slowly moved to crowd the being as it...he? landed. "Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asked looking over to the god. "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that" He gestures to the glowing gem in the androids head.
"What, the gem?"
"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Thor's voice was serious as he spoke. "Then why would you bring it to..." Steve piped in confusion.
"Because Stark is right." Katrina raise her brows in surprise as do the other Avengers. "Oh, it's definitely the end times!" The witch smirks at Bruce's remark. "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor stepped forward again. "Not alone." The red being spoke up, speaking in J.A.R.V.I.S' voice. "Why does your 'vision' sound like J.A.R.V.I.S?" Oh good, I wasn't the only one thinking it.
"We... reconfigured J.A.R.V.I.S' matrix to create something new." Steve glowered at Tony, putting his hands on his hips. "I think I've had my fill of new."
" You think I'm a child of Ultron?"
"You're not?" Katrina retorts, raising a brow. "I'm not Ultron. I'm not J.A.R.V.I.S. I am... I am." Well ok then. The brunette stepped closer to the new life. "I looked in your head and saw annihilation." He looked back at her. "Look again."
"Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me."
Katrina bites her lip at Clint's words, unsure if she agreed with his sentiment. " Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side..." Thor spoke, gesturing towards the twins and the red being.
"Is it? Are you? On our side?" Steve asked.
"I don't think it's that simple."
"Well it better get real simple real soon."
"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all." The vision spoke, looking around the room. "What's he waiting for?" The bulgarian foldes her arm as Tony asked the question.
"You."
"Where?" Bruce asked from off to the side. "Sokovia. He's got Nat there too." Clint cut in before the android answer. " If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be.." Bruce started, before Vision spoke.
"What will you do?" He looked around at them. "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." He holds up Thor's hammer as everyone stares in shock. When Thor takes it, Vision walks off.
Katrina stifles a laugh at the shock on everyone's face.
"Right." Thor pats Tony awkwardly on the shoulder as he walks after Vision. "Well done."
"Three minutes. Get what you need."
Katrina turns to leave, pausing when the twins stay put. She exhales, "Come on you two." She gains the twins attention and start walking. She sensed the two follow as she lead them towards the room with spare clothes for them to change and clean up.
"Here." She pauses to let them in first. "There's some clean clothes in here." Katrina points over to a cabinet before leaving for her floor.
