Rain's pov
I paced around the room waiting for Phayu,
raging in fury.Don't I have the right to break the news of my relationship to my mom personally?And when did they get so close?
"Heeey, what happened?"He said closing the door.
"P'Phayu,Why didn't you tell me about the conversation you had with my mom? How and when did she know that we are a thing?"
"A thing? Really?"He raised his brows in disbelief,"Rain,you thought mom wouldn't notice?The late nights?The sleepovers?She figured it out herself she just wanted to hear it from the horses mouth."
"Mom?Wow!woow!woow! When did that happen?"I a questioned pacing around the room from one corner to another,"Why couldn't I be that horse?About her coming here?"
"Oooh sorry, I forgot about that, I wanted to tell you but you got sick so I couldn't break the news to you in that state."
"Forgot?You forgot,Oh my! I'm loosing it...!"
"Rain, don't you think you're overreacting?Calm down let's talk it out."He said reaching out his hands to hold mine.
"You think I'm overreacting?,"I said retreating from his move,"My mom knows about us and she heard it from someone else not her son and now out of the blue she is coming to meet your parents?"I said gesticulating my hands around in the air,I was boiling in anger right now.My mom is going to give me an earful the moment she sets eyes on me but why haven't she called me after knowing about this? That's peculiar doesn't sound like her at all....
"Baby, please calm down, I'm very sorry I should have told you sooner."He said wrapping his arms around me bringing me to a halt,"please forgive me,It will never happen again."
After explaining the event in details, I could clearly see his reasons.why he had no other choice but to give in to my mom.I was surprised to hear that she knew all along but she didn't mention anything just decided to play along.
"I'm super hungry, let's have breakfast,"He said dragging me along.
"Trouble in paradise?"Vegas inquired.
Pete stared at our hands that were locked together and said,"Storm is over."He looked at Vegas and they bursted into laughter
"You owe me 50 dollars, told you they would solve it in less than 20 mins?"Pete said to Vegas
"What?Pa,you guys placed a bet on us?"
"I believed in you unlike your dad,you should thank me instead of giving me that look on your face."
"Okay who's ready for breakfast?"Pete said heading for the kitchen.We ate the sumptuous, scrumptious meal happily while making stories about the countries recent political issues.
Time passed by so fast it was already evening.We were all relaxing in the living room enjoying the beautiful view of the sun.The weather was so nice.
"Should we go out for a movie?"Pete jumped out of the blues
"Yees...."I jumped excitedly it's been a while since I went out to the Cinema,I miss the feeling.
"Should we watch Fa.."P'Phayu started.
"Which one do you wanna see Rain?"Pete cut him short.
"Pa..."Phayu cried out to Vegas who opened his arms wide open for him ready for a hug.
"Fast and Furious is out in the cinemas,can we?"Phayu and I have anticipated for it for way too long.
"Fast and Furious it is!Everybody get ready in five,"He said dragging Vegas alongside him.
"Is it really okay to go out for movies amidst this chaos though?"I whispered to Phayu.
"Which chaos? we have everything under control don't worry."
The cinema wasn't far from our location it was a 20 minutes drive.We took a seat at the furthest corner of the room.The 4 consecutive rows were empty.we took the third raw and the bodyguards took the rest while some stood behind the very last row.People turned towards our direction, some had terror in their faces, some confusion.The lights were turned off then the movie was set.
"I was expecting you to rent out the whole cinema like the mafias always do in movies,"I whispered to Phayu chuckling softly
"Then it wouldn't be fun,"Pete responded
Omg!Did he hear that? I'm screwed!
"Sorry Pa,I was just joking."
"It's alright,nothing to be sorry about,"He said giving me a smile.
