My phone is dying anyway. I thought to myself as I placed it on the charger.

"Good morning, are you cooking?"

I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and headed to the kitchen.
"Mmm! What are you cooking?" I asked, sneaking up behind Quincy and giving him a peck on his back.
"Something I hope you'll like. French toast and bacon."
"My favorites! How did you know?"
"Ryan, we worked together for like four years. I remember these things."
I smiled as I sat down at the kitchen island. Quincy handed me a plate of food, and I dug in.
"So, Quincy, how did I end up in my bed? Did we...?"
"You don't remember what happened last night? Was I that bad?"
"No, I definitely remember you blowing my back and my front out, but how did I end up in my bed?"
He chuckled. "No, we didn't do it in you and your husband's bed. You kept tossing and turning like you couldn't get comfortable, so I carried you to your bed."
"You're so sweet. Aren't you hungry?"
"I ate while I was cooking, but hey, do you have extra toothbrushes and stuff?"
"Yeah, I've got you covered. Keith has some basketball shorts and tank tops that still have tags on them. I'll be right back."
"Cool, thanks. I'll clean this up."
I returned with everything and placed it on the counter.
"Here you go, Q-dawg. There's a guest bathroom right down the hall to the left."

I was tidying up the living room, still feeling the excitement from our bomb sex we had last night. The thought of experiencing it again sent shivers down my spine. Hearing the shower running, I decided to surprise him. Quietly, I entered the bathroom, where I found him singing off-key at the top of his lungs. I couldn't help but laugh inside. I joined him in the shower, wrapping my arms around his waist, which startled him.

I checked the camera and saw that it was my mother.
"Oh, shit! Quincy, go upstairs to my room and stay quiet," I instructed.
"Who is it?" he asked.
"My mom."
She knocked again. "Ryan, honey, it's mom. Open the door."
"COMING!" I cracked the door open and peeked outside.
"Are you going to let me in? And whose car is parked in your driveway?" she asked.
"Mom, I'm dealing with a hangover right now. What brings you here?"
"Your husband mentioned you hadn't responded to his messages, so I came to check on you."
"Mom, I'm fine, just tired and hungover. We can talk later."
"Whose car is that, Ryan? Is someone inside?"
"It's a rental. I went out last night and wanted to ride in style, so I rented a Porsche."
"Honey, you drive a Mercedes sports car."
I interrupted her. "Mom, please, I'll call you later. Love you. My phone died, so I didn't even know Keith messaged me." It was partially true, but still the truth.
She left, and I found Quincy ready to leave.
"Are you leaving?" I asked.
"Yeah, that was too close. I don't want to jeopardize your marriage or my engagement."
"So, we have to stop? Hmm?" I kissed his cheek, questioning.
"It would be wise, but I promise, this one time will never be revealed. It'll be our little secret," he winked.
"Okay. Well, thanks for taking care of me in more ways than one. I appreciate you, Q-dawg."
"Always. Nice seeing you, Ryan." We hugged, and he left.
