(Cont...) He pulled away from our kiss, leaving me in a daze. "We should head back outside before Jude and the others get suspicious."
We made it back outside and I could tell there were lingering questions, but nobody asked any.
Being typical Jude, she made the vibe as comfortable as she could. "Hey yall! I know that was some straight up bullshit, but it's made me hungry again. Let's eat!"
After eating and hanging out, it was time to go. Quincy and Justin walked us to Jude's jeep.
"Q-dawg, thanks for the hospitality, despite the chaos," Britt expressed, giving him a hug.
"No doubt. Y'all are welcome anytime."
I sat in the front seat, ready to leave. The longer I stayed, the harder it became to walk away from him.
While everyone exchanged goodbyes, Quincy subtly approached my window.
"So, you was just gonna leave without a hug or kiss? Nothing?"
I leaned over and kissed him quickly before anyone noticed.
"I'll always care about you Ryan."
"I know," I replied, wiping my lipgloss off his lips.
Jude and the girls hopped in the jeep and we pulled off.
"What a fucking day." I sighed to myself.

3 days later...I woke up in my old bedroom after a well needed nap, I heard the tunes of old school RnB blaring through the house and I knew that only meant one thing.
I excitedly jumped out of the bed and ran downstairs and there he was. "DADDY!!"
I jumped in his arms, interrupting him and my mother's dance. "How's my baby girl?"
"I'm ok daddy." I said as he put me down. "Where's my big head little brother at?"
"He stayed in New York with your grandma."
"How's she doing?" I asked.
"She'd be a lot better if her favorite girl went to visit."
My father turned down the music.
"Well, I'll let you two catch up while I go to the grocery store. We're having seafood boils tonight," Mom announced, grabbing her purse and keys before heading out the door.
My dad and I stepped onto the patio to have a conversation.
"You know, your mother told me what's going on, just so you know I'm gonna kill him when I see him for putting his hands on you."
"Daddy, please don't. This is between me and Keith."
Taking a sip of his beer, my dad looked at me and said, "I warned you about that sorry son of a bitch."
"Please, let's not start this," I begged, stepping back into the house. My father wasn't too fond of Keith, but he always liked Quincy. The irony, right?
"Baby girl, I just wanted the best for you. I gave my blessing because I saw how happy he made you. I need to ask you something, and I want an honest answer."
"Ok." I replied anticipating his question."
"What brought things to this point?" He asked, genuine worry etched on his face.
I tried to hold back my tears, but they flowed anyway, and he pulled me into a tight hug, comforting me.
"Oh, Daddy, there's so much."
"Well, honey, I won't push you. Cry it out, and when you're ready, your mom and I are here to listen."
I hugged him tighter because honestly that's what I needed right now. My parents love.
"My love is unconditional baby girl–it'll never go away."
"I love you so much Daddy."

I know this episode was really short, but I just wanted to show a father's love ❤️ although he kind of judged her, he realized what he was doing, and turned it around.
