It's been a few days since I ended things with Ryan after she confessed her love. It pained me to see her hurt, but we both had too much baggage. I can't deny it though, I missed her like crazy.
At home, watching TV with Karruche, my phone chimed. Don't get it twisted, we're not in a relationship; we're just hanging out. I think it's because Ryan's not in the picture. It was a message from Jude, telling me to call her. I excused myself to the kitchen.
"Karruche, I'll be right back. I'm going to the kitchen."
"Ok."
I dialed Jude, and she answered urgently, "Quincy, where are you?"
"I'm at home watching a movie with Karruche, what's up, you good?"
"No, there's something going on with Ryan." Tension immediately set in.
"What's up? What happened?" I asked, genuinely worried
"I'm not sure; she's just off. Ryan and I usually chat on the phone, but lately, it's only been texts, and that's not her style."
"What are you thinking?" I questioned not ready for the answer since it matched my own thoughts.
"I...I think Keith might've caught on that Ryan was singing about you at the performance, and it led him to find out about the affair," Jude explained.
"I swear on everything that I love, if he hurt her in any way, I'm fucking killing him." I said with clenched jaws.
"Quincy, pick me up, and we'll go together. I already told hubby, and it's cool."
"Did you tell Brittany, Amiyah, her parents?" I asked, grabbing my keys and gun.
"No, I don't wanna be spreading something if it's nothing."
"Be ready; I'll be at your place in 20 minutes." I hung up, informed Karruche that I had to run, and asked her to let herself out. It just didn't feel right to tell her.

As Jude and I drove to Ryan's house, she hit me with a bombshell – she'd seen Keith out with another woman, holding hands. Not only had she witnessed it, but she'd taken pictures to show Ryan. I warned her against it, but Jude marches to her own beat, to hell with what anyone thinks.
We arrived at Ryan's house, knocked, got no response, so Jude used her key.
"Lock the door," Jude instructed.
"Ry!" Jude shouted, but silence.
"Ryan Destiny!" Jude tried again. Still nothing, so she headed straight to Ryan's bedroom, and I heard a scream.
