Wedding disaster?

Yesterday was our 6 month Anniversary. Me and Charles have been the happiest we have been in a while. We had a few down for a month or so. But it has been going better then ever. We are currently on Winter Break from F1. Its January right now and we are in bed in Our apartment.

We are back at it again. I moved in back with Charles again a month or 2 ago. He said that he liked how fast everything was going and that he could propose any second. I know thats a joke but I honestly wouldn't mind?

If he were to propose this day? I would a 100% say yes and be good with everything. I have made him clear a few weeks ago that he has to asks for my dads blessing before he proposes and i would know when he did because my dad would probably call me every 30 minutes asking if i have some exiting life news. And he has not called me yet since i see him very often.

But that really is not what i have to worry about since i know that Charles wants to be in a relationship for ATLEAST a year before getting engaged. And another i have a He wedding to attend. Charles was invited himself. Which i did not expect, i really thought Pablo hated Charles but i guess not.

I am for a fact Maid of honor. Funny thing is that they switched at their wedding. The bride gets a Best man and the Groom a Maid of honor. Because Rosé has one younger brother and pablo has me as a younger sister. Good thing about that is that i could still choose my dress and color of it.

Since Rosé is spanish she had a totally diffrent plan for their wedding then the basic Monegasque male called Pablo. Which is a very spanish name.

We got to the venue in the most eye catching car. A beautiful Ferrari Pista 488. With the numbers 16 on it. Which is also my favourite number and also the one from my partner.

Anyhow..
Wedding was as the usual wedding. Pablo had a few cries bla bla nothing special. Until we got to dinner which was inside.

Me and Charles sat down amongst a lot of others. Food would be served in half an hour so we would just have to entertain ourselves .  At our table there was sat the groom and bride. My parents and Rosé her parents and 2 friends or Pablo.

Louis and one of which I don't know his name. I was next to Louis and Charles, and Charles next to me and my mom. Next to Louis his side wad my dad. And then the unknown friends and the bride and groom.

Charles felt a little uncomfortable next to my Mom which i 100% understand. I sort of haven't spoken to my mom in a month. So when she sat down and looked at us it was really weird.

"So sweetie what have you been up to lately?" She asks

I don't really know what i can say to her and what I can't. She probably won't like anything

"Nothing much just the usual."

"Ok, and you Charles"

"Uhm im getting back to racing again so preparing for that. And just important stuff" Charles said really nervous

"You quit racing?" Mom said very intriguing

"No its a break."

"You needed a break from driving a car?"

"Uhm well yeah it's pretty intense racing. And we also wanted to spend time with family and stuff."

"Intense HAHAHA. You can be honest with me"

"I am being hon-"

"Mom please, why do you need to be rude? Just leave him alone it's s really heavy sport mom" i interrupt him

"Whatever, can't even honestly say your boyfriend failed you."

"MOM what the fuck? He never failed me and he never will you are really so fucking rude. Can't even cope with your own problems and that the only thing you care about is money. Im so sorry for you that i did in fact fall in love because of a person and not his money"

"Watch your words young lady" she says. Is that really all she can say?

I got up grabbed Charles his hand and went to an empty table i sat down at a spot i know the person won't come.

"Charles I'm so sorry. She really is so mean"

"It's okay. You can't do anything about it Mon amour."

We looked at each other feeling butterflies flying all around us. His face got closer to mine leaving no air for between us. He was smiling, not with his mouth but with his eyes. I could see it in them. Our lips had a soft touch that didn't take to long.

"I love you Oaklynn"

"I love you too Charles"

We later got back to the table but my dad and Mom had switched places sos he couldn't harass us. Talks with my dad are much more pleasant. My dad and Charles shared real interests and got to real talking.

My dad started speaking really quiet out of no where in a way that i could not hear it and he was sat to Charles his ear.

I just started talking with Louis since they were really in their conversation. We ate our dinner and got some wine.

And of-course my mom drank way to much. She herself had probably about two bottles. So she wasn't in the right state of mind.  Some people brought our a toast.

My dad got instance.
"Pablo, my dear son. You have grown so much as a person to be so much better. Seeing you together with Rosé has shown me an example of love.  We all which you two an amazing live and we would love to see you two grow a beautiful family of your own. Congratulations"

For some reason after that everyone was waiting for me. So i guess? Still holding Charles his hand when i stood up. I looked down at him a fee times debating if i should and he ofcourse winked.

"Well my brother, my only sibling. I am so happy so see you be a real man in live. You have accomplished so much in so short with a beating young lady beside you. We all love you so much rosé and ofcourse you Pablo. So good to see you two together"

A few claps bla bla.

Fuck no my mom stood up.

"Pablo sweetheart. My favourite child —- oh okay?—- we love you so much. So sad to see you leave so soon. My little baby. You are a good example of following in your fathers footsteps. Lets hope you will be an amazing dad.."

Okay well that was quite the speesh

".. and we can't forget your sister. After all it was my idea for you to propose that day. —WHAT!!—-  you have a beautiful younger sister. So we want to give your sister's boyfriend the opportunity to speak up as well. Because silly me though he was going to propose to Oaklynn TODAY.."

What? Wait
Propose?

"Mom please just stop" pablo says

".. but im nor finished"

"Mom quit it." I say right after.

"When Charles came to our house last week.."

WHATTTTTTT!!!

"MOM STOP THIS. ITS MY WEDDING PLEASE."

"I know Pablo But it was also her birthday"

My dad grabbed mom and took her away.

The room was now silent and nobody knew what to say.

"TIME TO DANCE PEOPLE COME ON" i say pretty loud and look the dj dead in the eye for him to start some music luckily it all gets to work again as if it never even happend. Everyone is dancing accept me and Charles because WE NEED TO TALK.
