Chapter 7

I walked into 3rd period, neither Niall nor Jackie were in that class so I was more of a loner during that period. 

A brown haired boy sat across from me, I pretended not to mind.

“Hey”

He smiled.

“I’m Nick, your new here huh?”

He said in this adorable Irish accent.

“Yeah, I’m lizzy, I just moved here from California”

I said as I curled my lips into a friendly smile.

“United states huh? That’s a long way, what made you move here?”

“I’ve always love Ireland and I finally convinced my mom to move here” I lied.

He smiled as the teacher walked in. 

We talked a lot during the rest of the period; he kept my mind off of Niall. I was thankful for that, I had to stop loving Niall, after all we couldn’t be more than friends. 

The bell rang as I grabbed my books and stood up from my desk.

“Lizzy!” I heard Nick call from behind me.

“Yes” 

“I was wondering, you wanna go to the movies Saturday?”

“Sure I’d love too”

I said without giving it much thought.

7th period came, I was happy to see Niall; we would get more time to practice on our song. 

“Hey Ni,”

I said as I spotted him in a corner with his guitar. 

“Hey Liz” 

We took our usual spot and began practicing, not much talking just singing.

I looked at the time, 10 minutes till class was over,.

“Hey Niall, I heard about this really good park nearby, wanna go take a look?”

I said and waited for an answer

“Yeh, sure why not”

He said as he began taking his guitar and putting it into his case.

The bell rang

“I’ll go grab my stuff, I’ll meet you outside in 5 kay?”

I said as I walked towards my locker.

I grabbed my stuff from my locker and walked outside, Niall was already there.

“Kay lets g—“

I didn’t finish my sentence before I spotted a new addition to his appearance…. He had a black eye, and it was slightly swollen. 

“Ni, what happened”

I said angrily.

“Uhh, I fell and hit my head on the wall”

I didn’t know whether to believe him or not but at the moment I just wanted to make sure he was okay.

“Are you okay, awe hun you need to be careful kay, here come with me”

I said as I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the bathroom.

“I’m not going in the girls bathroom”

He laughed as he pulled back.

“C’mon Niall, theres nobody in there”

I said pulling him towards it

He sighed as he walked in

I put some hot water in a piece of toilette paper.

“Ow”

He said twitching his eye.

“I know, it hurts’ I’m sorry… it’ll feel better after I promise” 

I said gently dabbing the paper in his swollen eye.

“There, c’mon lets go”

I said as I threw the paper away and pulled him towards the door.

“If you tell anyone I was in there…”

“I wont, haha”

We walked off towards the park.
