Elena was up at the crack of dawn on the 1st of September. It was a big day. It was the very first of the seven years of her daughter's schooling at Hogwarts. She wondered how she would get through the rest of the day without tearing up, as the mere sight of Phoenix's packed trolley in the living room brought tears to her eyes. She made her way into the kitchen, adamant to make this day a cheerful one. For what was better than starting your day besides one's favourite breakfast?

While Elena immersed herself in cooking, Henry was busy going through the checklist making sure that Phoenix hadn't forgotten anything. A set of eight books for class, robes, cloaks, magical equipment, and her other set of books by various muggle authors were all neatly tucked away in the trunk. They had to ask Ezra to place an undetectable extension charm so that they could fit all her hardcover books. He was about to put the list away when his eyes landed on the uncrossed box: a wand. He knew they were forgetting something!

He ran downstairs, "Elena, have you seen Nix's wand?" he asked, as he rushed into the kitchen.

Elena looked up from the tray of cookies she was decorating, "It's beside her robes. I put it there last night," she added, as he walked up to her. Henry wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her shoulder, "Cookies for breakfast?".

Elena nodded, "And I've packed some for their train ride."

Henry looked around at the kitchen table. There was freshly baked bread resting by the oven, and different slices of finely cut meat lay by the huge bowl of shredded vegetables, along with a bowl of fruits and pies.

"Here, try this," Elena said, breaking the cinnamon butterscotch cookie in half. Henry devoured the cookie in an instant, making Elena laugh.

"They're delicious!" He exclaimed, placing a kiss on her cheeks.

"The chocolate ones are still baking."

"Love, I think you've cooked enough food for an entire clan. Come on, we've got to get ready and wake up the kids." Henry reminded, removing the oven mitts from her hands.

"Just a moment. Let me take this up to Remus, I don't want the tea to get cold," Elena replied, picking up the tray. "Grab the other one for me, will you?" she asked, pointing to the other one, which had some cookies and scones.

Henry picked it up and walked upstairs along with Elena, who was lightly humming to herself. He knocked on the door and Remus opened it almost immediately, "Good morning, Remus!" Henry greeted, with a bright smile. Elena chucked, as Remus made way for them to enter the room looking extremely puzzled.

"You didn't have to do all this for me," Remus muttered.

"Hush, now." Elena chided, "Where's Jack?" she asked.

"He's with Nix. Those two have been up since five," Remus answered, recalling how the pair had bombarded him with questions about Hogwarts and its different Houses.

Henry laughed, "All right, have your tea, and come down whenever you're ready. Elena made us a huge feast."

Remus smiled, "I wouldn't dare to miss it."

Elena patted his shoulder before walking out with Henry, "Smart man."

Remus sat down on the winged chair and stared at the set of trays before him when a strong scent hit his nose. He instantly took the lid off the teapot and was surprised to see the crushed deep blue aconite petals resting beneath the pot. Remus's eyes welled up with tears. He had remotely mentioned to them how aconite tea was the only thing that seemed to relieve his pains apart from the wolfsbane potion, but he didn't think that they would remember or even understand what he was referring to.
