Long minutes passed without either of them saying a word. They remained seated on the uncomfortable metal container while the little girl calmed down. The girl had a strong character, perhaps forged by all the time she lived alone in those icy conditions. What made the droid wonder how she accomplished such a feat. She wanted to ask him, but she knew this was not the time.

A sharp beep interrupted the silence, taking them both by surprise. The oven had finished cooking whatever Icarus had done. The mere memory of those whitish amorphous masses was enough to make the little girl's stomach knot, however, a succulent smell made her nose unable to stop sniffing curiously.

Icarus stood up and proceeded to check what he had made, but when he opened the oven he was greatly disappointed.

"¿That What the hell was that?" They both asked themselves, seeing what was lying on the tray that Icarus was taking out of the oven. The strange amorphous mass had expanded and turned a yellowish color. Its twisted silhouette was reminiscent of the disgusting worms he had seen on the earth of Mygeeto, but apparently his smell caught the little girl's attention.

Icarus was so focused trying to analyze what had gone wrong, that he didn't notice that the girl approached carefully, and tried to grab one of the strange "creations" of the droid.

Icarus: - Be carefu! - He tried warn the girl, but too late.

The little girl grabbed the metal tray with her hand without knowing how hot it was. A loud squeal of pain came from the little girl's mouth, as she backed away, staring tearfully at her burned hand. Still, it was strong enough to hold back the pain and not cry.

Icarus checked the burn immediately, but fortunately, it hadn't been anything serious. The droid hurried to the medical booth that adjoined the kitchen, looking for something to help treat the girl. His steps were heavy, and the blows he made opening and closing the metal drawers echoed through the ship. Finally, he found what he was looking for.

He returned to where the little girl was and applied a spray to the affected hand. The burn was not very serious, and in just a few seconds the pain and the marks on the pads of the little girl disappeared.

Girl: - Thank you. -

The little girl said in a sweet voice, which made the droid feel a strange warm sensation in its metallic core. But before he could wonder what was happening to him, the voice of a half-asleep Wag Too was present in the place.

Wag Too: - Why so much... (yawning)... fuss? - It seems that the noise that Icarus made did not go unnoticed.

Icarus: - An accident without major complications. -

Wag Too: - Good to know. - He yawned again. - What is that smeeeeeeeeell? -

The lurmen reacted suddenly. For no apparent reason, seeing the girl, he turned around. Neither of the other two knew why, but Wag Too seemed to be very uncomfortable.

Wag Too: - Wh...wh...why...why is she like this? -

Icarus: - What do you mean? -

Wag Too: - Why doesn't she have clothes? Where is her coat? -

The droid looked at the little girl, and they both exchanged glances, but with more doubts than answers.

Icarus: - Her coat was for the extreme climate of Nelvaana. The temperature inside the ship is much higher, so it is logical that she would have decided to take off her coat to cool down. -

Wag Too: - That's not the point! -

The lurmen hurried away, leaving the droid and girl pair in much confusion. The little girl didn't understand a word he was saying, but it was strange to her that the droid didn't either. for a few seconds the lurmen returned, and threw a cloth that fell on the face of the droid, to then go back to the ship's hold.
