What can a night do to change everything you have in life? That's what Kim thought when he met a beautiful stranger by the beach. That one momentous night that changed his life.

"Cut! Let's wrap up for today." The director finally said. Those were the words that Kim had been waiting for all day.

His skin is hot and sweaty, and he's been under the blazing sun for hours shooting his new music video. It's not all bad though, they've been shooting by the beach and Kim somehow finds it comforting. He likes the beach and it's been ages since the last time he visited one because he's always stuck at his studio.

"Great job today, Wik! We still need to shoot some scenes tomorrow and after that, we're all good." The director said to him. Kim is too tired to respond so just nods and sighs when the director leaves. The crew started packing up the equipment and props before it got dark.

"Is there anything you want to do tonight, Khun Kim?" Big asked. He was Kim's bodyguard and also his personal assistant.

"I just want to take a damn shower and rest, Big," Kim answered.

"Your room in the nearby cabin is already prepared, Khun," Big said. Kim just nodded.

The sun is about to set. Kim enjoyed watching the sunset and the people playing by the beach. He watched the group of young men— probably a few years younger than him— play volleyball nearby. They were laughing and enjoying the game. He felt an ache in his chest. Kim somehow felt envy, he can't even remember the last time he laughed genuinely or if he ever had that moment of happiness. To be clear, he enjoyed what he's currently doing, writing and singing songs. He's achieving his dreams but he knows deep inside him that something is missing.

One young man caught Kim's attention because of the way he laughed when he failed to hit the ball. The warm smile he has also made Kim feel warm inside. The way his skin glowed against the setting sun. Kim finds himself smiling as he watches.

"Khun Kim?" Big called, staring at Kim with confusion and then looking at the group.

Kim cleared his throat, his smile disappearing. "What?"

"We should go, Khun," said Big. Kim just nodded and left with Big.

Kim shuffled on his bed for the nth time that night. He's been lying on his bed for a couple of hours now and he can't seem to fall asleep. He thought the work today would tire him out but he was wrong.

He glanced at his phone. It was only 10:45 PM on the clock, it was still early he thought. He used to spend this time of night composing songs at his studio. Maybe it's his body clock messing up with him that's why he can't sleep. He huffed and went outside. Maybe the cold air can make him fall asleep.

He stood by the shore. The chilly water against his feet felt good. The cold breeze against his skin felt good, almost comforting Kim. He took out a cigarette and lit it. Kim closed his eyes as he gave it a huge inhale. The smoke intoxicated his lungs. It felt good. This small sense of freedom felt good. After months of working, he finally felt at peace. He made a mental note to write a song about this.

Then a voice interrupted Kim's peace, "Excuse me, Mister? Have you seen my friends?"

Kim opened his eyes and looked at the source of the voice. He's familiar but Kim can't exactly remember him. He has too much in his head, he forgets things easily. For fuck's sake, he's only 24. Kim only shook his head in response.

The young man sat and huffed, "Damn, those fuckers ditched me." he mumbled.

Kim looked around. No one was around except him and this young man. "Who ditched you?" he asked.
