A hunter meets their prey and the truth, how it would change his life?

-

Porchay was raised by a famous clan of vampire hunters. The Kittisawat clan has been hunting vampires even before Chay's great-grandfather was even born. The elders claim that vampires have no morals at all and only desire to feed. There were many victims of these monsters. The clan spent their entire lives working to slay vampires.

In the 16th century, one member of a Kittisawad family was killed by this blood-sucking creature. Lady Kittisawad was already lifeless when her husband, Lord Kittisawad, saw her. She was pale and drained with blood with bite marks on her neck. Devastated, Lord Kittisawat swore to take revenge on whoever, or whatever, took the life of his beloved. That's how he learned about the existence of vampires. Driven by anger and revenge, Lord Kittisawad studied everything about vampires. After years of hunting vampires, he was feared by these creatures. He killed hundreds of them, but never the one who killed his wife. He failed to hunt the only vampire he desired to kill. He brought this failure up until his death. Fortunately, Lord Kittisawat passed his knowledge to his only son, which he passed on to his kin and so on.

Training at the Kittisawat clan starts when a child reaches their 8th birthday. But, they were warned even before their 8th birthday what was out there. Their mind and body were conditioned to fight what was in the dark. Chay was raised by the Kittisawat elders to hunt vampires, which are the closest thing to a demon you will ever come across on this planet as they say.

There are no records of the Kittisawat family journal of killing the first vampire they wanted to kill. But, they know one thing about him. His last name, Theerapanyankul. That is all they got from him. They were not even close to catching him. The family devoted their life to killing this vampire and its kind.

Porchay was always deprived of everything when he was a child, except for material things. He can get anything he wants, but never his parents' recognition. His parents' attention was never on him. Just to his brother Porsche. The two brothers were extremely close. It is just their parents who want Porsche to focus more on his training so he will be the one to kill the vampire. It is a pride after all in their family if he will be the one to kill this hideous beast. Something they can boast of to their other family members.

That's why Chay was so eager to hunt and kill this vampire to please them. He spent his days training and nights studying and researching. He was like this until he reached the age of 22. He thinks it's time for him to execute his plan. This is what he waited for all his life. He is ready, whatever it takes.

Chay took a walk through the woods. Better still, the deeper he is. As he moves, the area around him grows darker. When he got to the place he was going, he halted. The silence was unbearably loud. There are no sounds of birds or crickets.

There was a small house in the middle of the forest. An odd sight to see in the heart of a forest. It was old and abandoned. However, Chay knows what was inside of it. It was a vampire lair. Not any vampire lair, it was one of a Theerapanyakul lair. Chay wished it was the vampire he'd been finding. It is fine if it's not, smaller fish can lead him to a bigger one, anyway. As long as he can catch a Theerapanyakul.

However, Chay may look tough and confident outside. He was extremely scared. To be honest, he never encountered a vampire before. He only saw them from the videos and pictures that their family gathered throughout the years of hunting. His body was shaking up to his core. After all, he is a sheep entering a lion's den. Chay breathed deeply and clutched the machete in his hand. He was fine. He can do this. For him.

Carefully, Chay entered the cabin. The house is empty, yet well-lit. He softly scoffed. Even though the house was completely shabby from the outside, it was very neat inside. Like someone actually lived in it. He was right after all. It was like a trap for lost hikers who were looking for a place to stay for a night. These motherfuckers. They are fooling people to feed. They really are no good in this world.
