Long-distance relationships are not something any couples want. Especially in the case of Kim and Chay who were always together — literally — ever since the start of their relationship. What would this kind of relationship do to both of them?

Kim is having a world tour and he had to leave Chay because his boyfriend can't come with him because of school. He is preparing for his coming tour, but as clingy boyfriend as he is, doesn't want to leave his lover alone.

Chay is helping Kim to pack his bag for his flight tomorrow. Not helping, he is the only one packing his boyfriend's bag. Kim is just sitting by their bed and is silent. Kim finally has his world tour. They are both delighted, Kim's work is finally paying off. But it quickly saddens Kim when he realizes that Chay won't be coming with him because of college.

"P'Kim?" Chay called, sitting beside Kim. "What's wrong?"

"I can't leave you alone here," Kim said, his face full of sadness.

Chay smiled and held Kim's hand, "We've already talked about this, P'Kim. I'll be fine. Hia told me I can stay at the main house if I wanted."

"Even so. I can't imagine you being alone. What if something happens to you and I'm not here? I don't want to lose you again, baby."

"I won't be alone. Hia and Khun will visit me and there are bodyguards, literally, in every corner of this apartment. I can take care of myself. I swear I'll be okay." Chay reassured him. Kim sighed in defeat.

"Can we postpone this tour? We'll wait until your school is over." Kim suggested.

Chay gasped, "No! You can't do that, P'Kim. Your fans are waiting for you. You can't just postpone it because of me." said Chay. He caressed his boyfriend's face, "I want you to enjoy your world tour, love. You've been waiting for this."

"I'll enjoy it more if you're there, baby. I won't reach this point without you." Kim said then kissed Chay's hand. "Come with me, please," Kim asked. He's been asking Chay this question for weeks. But he always receives the same answer from Chay.

"I can't, P'Kim. I wanted to, I swear. But I have school and the works were endless." Chay said. He hates it when his boyfriend begs him to come with him. Chay wanted to come, he wanted to be with Kim and watch him perform for the world. It breaks his heart every time Kim has a disappointed face when he answers him.

Kim leans into Chay, laying his head on Chay's shoulder. "I need you there. You're my best cheerleader in the crowd."

Chay looked at Kim and caressed his face, "I know, P'Kim. I'm sorry."

"This is agonizing already. I can't go. I won't go. Not without you, Chay." Kim said. Chay knows Kim is serious when he already called him by his name.

"Kim, if you don't go on that tour, I will drag your ass out of this apartment," Chay said. He just dropped the "phi", Kim knows he's serious too.

"You love my ass," Kim said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood.

"P'Kim!" Chay said, laughing. They both did. They will miss this, laughing together. They have barely gone out these past few days. Kim needs to finish his rehearsal for the concert, while Chay is busy at the university. They can't believe they didn't have a proper date before the tour.

"I will miss you," Kim said softly.

"I know. I will miss you too, P'Kim. 5 months won't be that bad." Chay said. He is lying, 5 months without his Kim is bad.

"Baby, are you hearing yourself? That's 5 months of tour. 5 excruciating months without you. That's almost half a year. It's already insufferable when I don't see you when you're at university." Kim said.

"I know. I know, love. But we'll call every day and every night. I will update you on everything I do, so you must do the same. I will watch you perform online. I will still support you even though I'm far away from you. Before we know it, you're already back to me." Chay said. He tried to be positive for both of them but Chay knows deep inside him that 5 months without Kim is unbearable. He just doesn't want to be a hindrance to Kim achieving his dream. Kim will always say the same thing to Chay, that this isn't just his dream but also Chay's dream.

Kim sighed again in defeat. He won't win against his baby. "Well, at least drop me by the airport. Please, baby, please." Kim begged.

"You know that's impossible. The airport will be swarming with your fans, waiting for you to depart." Chay said.

"I know, baby, but please. Just this time, come with me to the airport." Kim pleaded.

Chay can't resist Kim. He won't be seeing his face for the next 5 months so maybe dropping him by the airport won't be so bad, "Fine. But I'll stay in the car."

"That's fine with me," Kim said and kissed Chay's cheek.

Kim didn't let go of Chay's hand on their way to the airport, also kissing it from time to time. Chay just gave Kim's hand a reassuring squeeze, to show his lover that he was fine. But he wasn't. Chay wants to cry. He doesn't want to see Kim go. But he knows that the moment he cries, Kim won't go. So with an aching heart, Chay holds back his tears.

"I love you, P'Kim..." Chay whispered, swallowing down a cry.

Kim looked at him adoringly, "I love you more, baby. Please promise me you'll be okay." Kim said.

Chay nods, "I'll be okay, love. I promise."

"If everything happens, tell me immediately. I'll come back home." Kim said.

"I will. But I swear to you, P'Kim, nothing will happen to me." Chay assured Kim. He just keeps reassuring Kim ever since yesterday. Kim is just so overprotective of him, he'll miss that. "Take care of yourself, love, please."

"I will, I promise," Kim said softly. His heart is so heavy, he doesn't want to leave Chay.

They came to a stop, they already arrived at the airport. Wik's fans were already waiting for him inside. Chay's heart felt heavier. This is it. The moment Kim steps out of the car, he won't be seeing him for the next 5 months. He embraced Kim tightly and buried his face in his lover's neck, not wanting to let go.

Kim hugged him back, "If you changed your mind and wanted me to stay, just say it, baby." Kim said jokingly. He knows Chay is not okay so he tried to ease the mood.

Chay shook his head and looked at Kim, "No. You should go or you'll miss your flight." Chay stared at Kim for a while, "I will miss you, love, so much." he whispered.

"Me too, baby," Kim whispered back and gave Chay a quick yet loving kiss. "I will miss you so much, baby. Please be good." He said and kissed Chay with a longer and more passionate kiss.

"Come home to me, okay?" Chay said as they separated.

Kim chuckled, caressing Chay's face, "Of course, baby. You're my home. Always remember. As long as we see the same stars and the same moon; we feel the same sun; and we're both underneath the same sky—"

"Then we are not far away from each other," Chay said, finishing Kim's words.

Kim smiled, "Yeah, that's right."

They both heard a knock from the outside of the car, it was Kim's manager. He signaled to him that it was time for them to go.

"You should go. Your fans are waiting for you. Don't forget to smile, okay?" Chay said.

They kissed once more as they whispered sweet i-love-yous in between kisses. Kim stepped out of the car, leaving Chay alone inside. Chay watched Kim get inside the airport and lost sight of him.

When Chay got home, that is where he lost it. He cried, pouring his aching heart out. Their apartment was so quiet and lonely. He used to hear Kim singing all over their apartment. He used to run into his boyfriend's arms when getting home. Their apartment also smelled like Kim. But Kim is not there anymore. He misses his Kim already, damn it, he has not even gone for a day. What would happen to Chay in the next days, weeks, and months without Kim?
