Chapter 16: View From Above

-Kai / Oshi no Ko Universe-

Kai is now eating at a new restaurant, one that has many recommendations. Lucky for him, they are serving a buffet for all you can eat. For the restaurant, unlucky.

He had just devoured his 40th plate with no sign of stopping. Everyone else in the restaurant was giving him uneasy looks, even the chefs and waiters too. It's a good thing that he wore some disguise before entering, so people couldn't recognise him.

"Huh, thanks for the food," said Kai, patting his belly. He looked around and realised that everyone was staring at him.

"Ermm, I'm feeling awkward right now..." he thought to himself as he went up to pay and left the restaurant. The chef workers were grateful that the monster eater have left their restaurant at last.

After walking aimlessly at the park doing nothing, Kai decided to do some egosurfing. He sat down on a bench and opened up his phone.

On his phone notification, there are a lot of missed calls from Director and some messages from him too.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell him about my little trip... He probably wanted me to edit some things. Well, better call him now," said Kai as he dialled Taishi's number. But the phone call cannot reach him.

"Is he doing some filming right now? He told me if he doesn't answer his phone, he's probably doing some filming or sleeping," shrugged Kai.

"Better continue doing some egosufing..." said Kai as he opened up Twitter and searched about himself.

There's a video of him on bloopers when he made his first appearance as an actor in a drama called Teen Days.

Kai remembered this scene. He was a side character at the time, and something funny happened when they were filming. He was supposed to be eating noodles while walking to the MC but tripped over. Although he managed to balance himself up by doing one handstand at the last second, the noodles he was eating fell on top of the MC's head.

Kai had a good laugh when he watched the scene again. He was lucky that the MC of the drama didn't care too much. Even the director and the rest laughed it off and put it in a blooper.

Kai smiled when reading the comments. He had fun doing this acting stuff. Thanks to Director, he was introduced to this industry.

He then typed Hero in his search bar. A civilian nearby had recorded Shallot and him fighting Turles and Slug. He tapped the video and watched it.

ANOTHER 'HERO' APPEARED IN TOKYO?

The video showed Kai and Shallot charging up their final attack to end the battle.

"WILD CANNON!!"

"GALICK CANNON!!"

The two of them released their blast as it clashed against Turles' and Lord Slug's beams, until it eventually overpowered them and consumed the time breakers.

"Sheesh, so many retweets..." said Kai as he saw the amount of retweets in the video.

There are some comments about their final attack and some theories about them fighting aliens from outer space.
