He took my hand and helped me out of the car. He started telling me about his home. He said "This home was built my grandfather and he loved gardening so the garden here is huge."
I nodded without saying a word.
Before he could ring the doorbell, a lady about 40 year old opened the door. She was dressed in a black and white uniform and did a little curtsey. (I had never seen a person doing a curtsey before in my life)I stepped inside the home. It was huge, almost huge as a playground. The floor was made of Italian marble, and the living room had many leather couches in a rectangular shape.
At the centre of the room, there was a huge chandelier, glittering and made of so many tiny crystals which reminded me of the song Chandelier.
The reflection of the chandelier could be seen on the centre glass table. Ahead of the couches, there was another section where there was another set of couches and a huge plasma television with a centre table. There was a fish tank with goldfishes in it.
At another corner, there was a glass wall and outside I could see a swimming pool. (This place was like a resort). There were three huge doors, one at the right, one at the centre which were huge two centered wooden doors and another glass door leading towards the pool. The place was colossal.
"Hello Margaret. How are you this morning" Raj greeted her.
"Absolutely good, Sir. Who is this young lady with you? " she said in a sweet voice and with a kind smile on her face.
"She is the daughter of Mr. Malhotra." He said calmly pointing towards me.
"Oh! Hello madam. Your parents and Mr. and Mrs. Singhania are having tea in their living room upstairs" She said.
I noticed Raj moving his hand around his pocket as if he was searching for something. He realized he has left his phone in the car, he said "I left my phone in the car, I'll just fetch it. Margaret, could you please tell somebody to take Tina's luggage to her room, please. And take her upstairs too."
Did I just hear 'my room'? No...this couldn't mean .... I would be staying at Raj's home? I thought mum and dad had bought a penthouse for me already nearby.
Hesitantly I asked Raj "my room?"
He replied "Yes, your penthouse isn't ready yet, some work's left. So till it is ready, you will be living with my family. Didn't you know that? "I was totally clueless about this. Mum did not tell me anything about the penthouse not being ready yet. That's why he said we would be seeing each other regularly, because I would be living with him...I mean in his house.
But in a way it was good, I would see him every day. But would he want to see me every day? He would be busy with different girls every day. By the way, why was I thinking about him?
"I did not have any clue about it" I said hesitantly with a fake smile plastered on my face.
"Now you know. Welcome to my home by the way. I will just be back in a minute or so. You go ahead and meet your parents. " He smiled and walked outside.
I turned around and Margaret was nowhere to be seen. I was on my own. I walked ahead slowly and stood after reaching near the television. I had no idea which door would take me to the first floor. I walked towards the right side door.
I could hear some noise coming from the other side of the door but it wasn't clear. I walked more closer towards the door and held the golden spherical door knob and twisted it towards the right and pushed open the heavy door to see a couple making out right on the desk of the library.
There were racks of books, but I didn't see those. All I could see was this guy holding the girl tightly on the waist and her hands in his hair and their lips sealed with his tongue down her throat and they were resting on the desk of the library.
