Chapter 25: The Bitch causing Trouble!

He sat as if he turned into a statue, shocked! After a minute of a silent treatment, he said "Can we please avoid this question?"

I bent forward and said with a desperation in my voice "You promised me that you would answer what I ask. Fine! Answer it later but you have to!...Why don't you break up with Natasha?"

He was getting extremely uncomfortable. His body language said it all. His fists were tightly clenched and he said in a barely audible voice "Because I don't have the courage to tell her..it will break her heart!"

"What if she breaks up with you?" I asked moving back in my seat taking the vodka bottle in my hand.

"It would be perfect! She wouldn't be hurt and I will be free..." he said with a grin.

"Why did you react in such an extreme way when you saw Jai kissing me? I felt bad then" I asked politely.

He got up from the chair and turned away so that I could see his back "Because I thought there was something between you two..I mean you were kissing and all! I felt angry and hurt!"

"Hurt?" I emphasized.

"Ya...the truth is I don't know why but I feel for you!" he didn't even look at me when he said that. I knew that was coming but I wanted to hear it when he was in his senses.

I got up keeping down the vodka bottle on the table and walked towards him and kept my hand on his shoulder as he turned. He looked into my eyes and said "I didn't want to tell you...ever..but you asked me that's why I told you!"

"It's fine..chill! I won't shut you out or something. I already knew."

"Already knew?"he asked with a confused expression.

I told him about the drinking plan that I had used on him to get him to speak up. After hearing it, he said "I told you..i would take time to open up..but you went all the way to get to know the truth..after knowing all about it, you just ignored it. Why did you do that? You knew I like you but still you chose to ignore?"

I said with a hesitation "I was waiting when you would tell me yourself. But you didn't. That's why I asked you again today!"

"I trusted you and you used alcohol to get me to talk..that's lame!" he said with a stern voice, he felt aggravated.

"You wouldn't tell me. You never let me in so I did that. I am sorry." I said with a tensed expression.

"You asked me again today just so that I had to tell you! Why do you even care? You're with Raj,right?" he said stepping an inch closer to me.

"I am not with him! And I just asked you so that you would admit to it and we could handle it!" I said calmly.

"Handle what? My feelings? Sorry but I feel you know way too much to ask anything!" he said as he started leaving.

I caught his hand and pulled him so that he stopped and faced me. I told him "I care for you and I feel for you, but as a friend till now. I can't feel more because you're so messed up in your own life there's no chance for anything more!"

He cupped my face, stepping closer, he said in a deep voice "Can we have something more?"

"I don't know yet." I said looking down avoiding his gaze.

"I think I am falling for you" he said in a low voice.

I moved away but he didn't leave me. I was trying to go away but he didn't leave my hand. Out of nowhere, there was a blow on his face and he fell down.
