I tossed my final bag into the back of the Jeep, making sure to have one last look at all of my belongings, double checking and thinking for a moment to make sure I didn't accidentally forget anything. My thoughts are interrupted by a familiar voice.

"All set, Violet?" Price asked from the other side of the car. That's my code name, Violet.

I picked my head up from checking my belongings and smile nervously.

I'm sure I have everything, no need to worry so much on that.

"All set, Captain." I reply quickly, closing the back of the Jeep then making my way to the passenger seat.

I was assigned recently to Task Force 141 as a new recruit after I excelled in my previous team.

I was brought on due to my top skills as a sniper, something Task Force 141 desperately needed more of apparently. I was also highly praised for my infiltration skills along with my stealth. I haven't been in the army for too long, but I guess my reputation proceeded me and I made my way up in the ranks. Even if I am only a sergeant. Being one on Task Force 141 however, that really meant something. I was kind of proud of myself for this, even if I'd never admit it out loud.

The car ride was long, a little over three hours. I was awake for only one and a half of them, listening to Price try and make small talk, as he tried to get to know me better. The man even wanted to play I Spy at one point. He reminds me of my own dad, if that makes any sense. I humored him and played along for a while, but I inevitably end up falling asleep for the remainder of the car ride. I didn't even notice that I had fallen asleep though, I felt kind of bad that I had.

I woke up as the car began to shake slightly. The rumbling quickly woke me up. I sleepily start looking around myself and realize we were driving on top of a gravel pathway. I look forward through the windshield and see the base. I shuffle a bit in my seat, stretching my body out and sit up straight as we approach the building, fixing my hair in the process.

The car comes to a stop as we make our way to the entrance. Price parked pretty close to the front doors, I figured he's just being considerate of the fact that I'd have to carry all my belongings to my room. "Sorry," I say sheepishly with a smile, "I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"Ah, no worries. I would have done the same." He reassures me as he unbuckles his seatbelt, "Well, we're here! I'm just happy to finally be out of that damn car." He exclaims cheerfully as he opens the car door and steps out.

He had to have been at least driving for at least six hours to get me, three there and three back...I feel bad.

I made sure to thank him.

After grabbing some stuff from the Jeep, I began to make my way inside the building carrying my bags, I quickly realized I'd have to make two trips but that was fine. As I open the door with my shoulder and foot, I notice Price carrying the rest of my bags and boxes.

"You can always ask for help, Kid." Price grunted as he carried my belongings, I held the door open with my back for him, making sure to make as much room as possible for him.

"Thanks Captain, I'll remember that." I reply as he walks past me. I step away from the door and it shuts slowly, I'm glad it didn't bang.

Captain Price walks down the main hallway and I follow closely behind him, quietly analyzing as much as possible as I look ahead.

"It's a bit of a walk to the barracks, but you'll manage." he says.

"I'm just glad to finally be out of that car." I repeat his words from earlier with playful tone and a smile, he laughs at this.

Price and I pass by the common area, and as we do I notice some people standing inside, none of them seem to spot me as I make my way by. That is until the very last second. A tall man in a weird skull balaclava locks eyes with me for just a short moment, and just as quickly as our eyes meet, I pass by the room and he's out of sight.
