I go back to my bedroom and get changed out of my pajamas. I slip into some black warm leggings, the type that has fleece on the inner linings of it to keep me warm in this cold weather, and a form fitting sweater and just some fuzzy socks since my boots are by the front door.
I exit my room and make my way over to the living room area. There's a smaller sized TV and a DVD player. I walk over to the tv stand and open the cabinet, but there's nothing in there. Go figure.
As I close the cabinet, Price walks in from outside and notices me on the floor by the TV.
"Going to watch something, kid?" He asks with a smile.
"I was, but there isn't anything here to watch." I reply, sounding a bit disappointed.
"I bring a DVD folder filled with stuff for this exact reason. I'll bring it out." He mentions, starting to make his way to his room to fetch them.
I start to turn on the TV, but I notice nothing is set up or plugged in. I bend over the TV stand, trying to untangle the wires behind it and figure out what goes to what. That's when I feel a steady hand on my shoulder. I don't turn around, but I notice skull fingerless gloves on me, I realize it's Ghost.
I turn my head to face him.
"You don't look like you know what you're doing." He insults, removing his hand from me.
"What? Yes I do." I say defensively.
He just chuckles softly and shakes his head. "Yeah, well either way, I'll do it."
I throw my hands up as I straighten my back to stand up, "Fine, go for it." I say as I make my way over to the nearby couch, sitting down in the center of it.
I watch Ghost as he untangles the wires, his back to me. Not long after, Price comes back out and tosses the big folder of DVD onto my lap, I adjust slightly as I feel the weight of it hit me.
"Yay, thank you Captain!" I thank him cheerfully, unzipping the folder and flipping through the pages.
"Of course, things were getting pretty boring anyway." Price explains, walking to the front door. "Gaz, Soap, are we going or not?" Price exclaims in a loud booming voice.
"Coming Cap." I hear Gaz in the distance call out, before appearing a few second later from down the hallway. Him and Soap walk up to Price by the door, dressed in warm sweaters and jackets.
"Finally going to get the drinks and stuff?" I ask, turning my body to them, sitting on my knees and my arms hanging over to the back of the couch.
"Yep. Can't get drunk without liquor." Soap speaks up and flashing me a smile.
"Well, don't forget to get regular drinks too, I'll need a chaser if I'm expected to take shots."
"Baby." Ghost insults as he stands up, finishing setting up the TV and DVD player.
I whip my head over to him, my body still facing the others. "Oh shut up, Lieutenant." I hiss, glaring at him.
"Yeah, well. We're off. Try to play nice, you two." Price speaks as he unlocks the door and heads out.
"Yeah, be back later, it's quite a ways until the next town, let alone store." Gaz says with a shake of the head, following Price.
Soap doesn't say anything, just follows behind Gaz. The door shuts and after a second I hear the sound of it locking.
I shift back into my seat, sitting back down on my butt and facing the TV just as I was earlier.
I look up at Ghost. I can already feel the awkwardness in the air from just him and I being alone together. Ghost makes his way from the TV over to me, sitting down at my left side on the couch. I flip through the DVD folder again, trying to find something to watch.
