XENIA'S POV

Our days were now spent together in the afternoons chasing and being chased by Sasha. I never knew how much Leena needed me, and oddly how much I needed her. We would laugh our heads off while lying in the sun out on the grass while poor Sasha kept yelping at us to play a game of tug and be dragged around like a lifeless doll.

I never realized how much she loved me and how much she was in need of my love, both before and after the accident. I could never face seeing her in the wheel chair and hearing her cry at night, regretting what she had done.

Now the hard part is getting used to the fact that my sister has wings and can fly, let alone walk on her own. We have yet to explain or tell our parents of the miracle.

"... I rate that is how we should tell them, don't you?" Leena asked.

"Hmm, what? Sorry sis, I just cannot get over how you have healed and that my little sister is a fairy", I replied with a smug grin gently tapping her on the shoulder with a fist.

Next thing I know we are surrounded by pixies and fairies, of all types, and I sit there while they point little arrows and spears at me. " What is going on here?" we both ask speaking almost as one person.

"You have touched the girl fairy with a fist, you must be punished for your crimes" a fairy holding an arrow to me says in a very large royal manner.

"It was a joke, really, only a gentle tap of affection", Leena states in a manner of haste and panic alarmed that so many small creatures have their arrows and spears pointed at punishing me.

I wonder if their strength is enough to cause me harm with the arrows they are about to shoot at me and spears to be tossed, because they look really sharp and dangerous.

"My apologies, girl fairy," he replies to my sister, "and my apologies servant of the girl fairy" he continues while looking down on me as though I am filth and well below his level of honor and dignity.

"I beg your pardon, I am her sister and don't you dare talk to me like that little fairy" I respond in a tone of anger and disgust at his rude comments towards me, " and I love my sister dearly, how dare you say I am her servant? We are all equal in this family and I will not have you talk to me or about me in any such manner or tone," I continue while standing up and looking down on the fairy as though I am about to crush him with my gaze. Suddenly they all vanish, he being the last to leave, I guess grateful that I did not squash him for his rude manner towards me.

"Who on Earth does he think he is to talk to me like that?" I say to my sister and sit down again in a sigh of disgust.

"You should of seen his face and eyes when you stood up, it was as though they were about to explode in fear", Leena states before bursting out in laughter.

"We should head in now, it is getting cold and I could do with a Milo," she says hopping back into her chair and allowing me to push her inside the house.

"So what were you saying about telling Mom and Dad about you walking again", I say knowing full our parents are in the living room just in earshot of the kitchen.

Our parents bolt into the kitchen to see if it is true.

"I can walk again. Sasha and I have been practicing, and now I can finally walk. I wanted to keep it a secret from all of you but I told and showed Xenia last night of the feat." she concludes all in one breath while standing up fully.

Our parents could not believe their eyes when they saw the chair being pulled away from Sasha and her standing there in the middle of the kitchen with a huge grin on her face. I remembered the plan from my sister last night after the fairy deal and we decided to do it this way. It is not a lie Sasha and Leena practiced for hours a day to stand up and walk, but with the help of the fairies (that part we left out) she can now walk.

Mom bursts into tears and Dad stands there looking at her and then suddenly wraps his arms around the three of us hugging us and then tells us how much he loves us and how proud he is of Leena and Sasha for practicing and trying.
