The day went by slowly I just hope that Leena is okay.

I enter the house only to see my little sister racing around the house in her wheel-chair being chased by her puppy till she lands up at my feet. Her puppy Sasha slides under the wheel-chair and hits into my sneakers with a yelp.

"Hey Sasha" I say excitedly picking the little rascal up.

"Hey Leena" I state even more excitedly handing her Sasha, "I'm glad to see you up and about. How you feeling?" I continue talking to her as I wheel her to the den.

"I'm feeling amazing today big sis. So tell me, how was school Xenia?" she questions with a sad look of longing on her face.

"Same old, same old" I sigh, "I must admit that there is this super cute guy in art class. His name is Joshua. I almost forgot! Your friends say hi and that they all super miss you" I exclaim in such an excited manner that both Sasha and Leena look at me in this funny way that causes a confused look to race over my face

"What?" I ask even more confused.

By now Leena is laughing her head off at me and that gets me going too.

What happened to Leena left the family and her friends devastated. She's my younger sister by two years, she got depressed and one day attempted suicide that left her in a wheel chair as she had cracked her lower spine in three vertibrae that left her paralysed from the waist down. She stayed in hospital for a few weeks in a psychiatric ward while receiving treatment both for her depression and her spinal damage. As it turns out Leena was depressed because of students mocking her brilliance (she has the brains and I have the arts) and it led her to suicide. Lately she has been happier especially since we got her Sasha, a German shephard who sleeps on my bed at night for some odd reason I can't quite understand.

Leena stops laughing and looks behind me, pointing just past my right shoulder. I turn around and see Soridia sitting on the fireplace mantle, now it makes sense as to why those two are still staring in a funny way.

I get up and head over to Soridia

"What you doing here?" I whisper to her

"I've been watching how much closer the two of you have become these past few days, and how happy Leena is, so we as pixies have decided to heal her injury and give her, her life back," she states nonchalantly

"Say what, give Leena her legs back?" I shout in an exclaimed voice that even Soridia looks at me curiously, "What? I'm happy that Leena can walk again."

"Sis, what's going on?" Leena asks me while holding Sasha a little too tight, that Sasha squirms in her arms to get free. "Oh, sorry Sasha," Leena lets her go and Sasha settles down in her lap again.

A few hours later a large concourse of pixies are surrounding Leena, who is now lying on my bed with a look of determination, excitement, curiosity, trust and awe at all these small human-like creatures, some with wings, others more human-like without wings and then those that are completely not human-like with a glowing aura and large wings (wisps, as named in the book of our forefathers)

Suddenly the room grows dead silent and I realise the magic is about to start. Soridia begins a small chant and a few starts joining in, but soon the noise level of all the pixies chanting a longer chant reaches a climax and then silence, Soridia says a few words in Pixie and then tugs on Leena to help her up. I head towards the circle to help my sister up but get held back by the tribes of eldrinos. All the winged pixies start flapping their wings frantically as they lift her up off the bed and right her up in mid-air and gently let her down on her feet. Leena is now standing up before me with a smile so large all her teeth show, a small tear of joy rolls down her cheek, before she takes a small step forward.

"Leena, you can walk!"
