XENIA'S POV

It has been three days since the last time a pixie has shown up around the house or the school, almost as though they are scared to come near me. Each night I leave a small copy of the drawing I did of the pixie that gave me the small flower and the drawing is ripped up by the time the morning comes. The flower she gave me is sitting next to my bed pressed between some newspaper and school books to dry out with its colour intact.

Joshua has ignored me for the better part of those three days, but has also ignored everyone else. Sarah and her friends have stayed far away from me and thank goodness for that because right now I miss my pixies and that is making my moods change rapidly. It's saddening to think that everyone hates you. I can understand Joshua for hating me because I kind of blew him off when all he wanted to do was walk me home after a long day. We sit next to each other in art class still but an awkward silence hangs there.

This morning I decided to apologize to him and hope for the best, but will he actually accept my apology and become my first school friend? I hope I don't mess up.

It's the last class of the day and we having art. I enter the class to find Joshua painting a new wolf. I pluck up the courage to apologize but no words come out my mouth. I grab my art stuff and could practically give myself a punch in the gut for not talking to him. I reach my art desk and grab some scrap paper and begin scribbling down a note and place it on the corner of his desk. I look away and focus on drawing the pixie from the park that gave me the little flower.

Time has passed by so fast as i add the last drops of glittering paint onto her pale wings, the bell rings. I pack my art kit away and take the painting with me as I head out the class.

"Hey, Xenia!" I turn around and see Joshua running up to me. "Thanks for the apology, but it's me who should apologize" he remarks rapidly while catching his breath.

"Why should you apologize? I was the rude one the other day" I reply looking right at him. "See you around Joshua," and with that i race out of the school and head into the park where the pixie was.
