Everything had lost its taste. My senses seemed dull and worthless. Losing Renesmee was a blow to my heart. It felt worse than being rejected. I might as well go into the road and wait for a semi to run me over.

I came to the beach hoping the sea would give me and idea on what to do. All I got were memories. The sweet scent of Renesmee's hair, and her skin getting whiffed into my nose with the wind. My hands under her warm body. Her lips caressing mine making my stomach turn upside down and making me shiver. Her kisses that filled me with life and ensured that happiness did exist.

I felt strange, like a part of me was missing. After she left I knew I had to come back, I decided to run since going back to the cottage asking for help would be stupid. Unfortunately I hadn't calculated I would be tired after such a long non-stop run.

I couldn't feel my legs when I got here, and the help from my pack helped. I really loved how Leah didn't chew me over anything, and her courage to do whatever necessary to help me. I swear she would step in as Beta if Sam didn't watch out.

The Cullens seemed different as well, I didn't know why they didn't hate me, it would have been reasonable. Instead they were calm and coming up with plans on how to get her back.

That was the important thing. My sadness was the fuel for my desire to find Renesmee and bring her home. Two months was a too much to wait. I just hope those bloodsuckers know what they're in for if they hurt one hair on her head.

"I knew I would find you here." Leah walked towards me.

"Yeah, it's one of my favorite spots."

She looked at the horizon. "I talked to the others." She sighed. "No luck, Sam and the other imprinters are too chicken."

"I don't blame them. Those bloodsuckers think they're so strong they might escape us and come here."

"That's what Sam and Quil said."

"You'll understand some day Leah. What it feels to..." I couldn't do this. She had the chance to be happy. "Never mind."

"Okay? So what do you want to do?"

"Nothing...get hit by a bus."

"That's not normal."

"No it's not, neither is losing her."

"True, but we should do something. You need to get distracted."

"I guess."

"Come on it'll be fun."

We had arrived at a paintball field. The instructor seemed eager to get us into gear. I thought it was stupid to put on plastic shields that I could break with a pinch.

Leah insisted though, and to make her happy I did it. We got our guns and headed in different directions. I was careful to make little noise as possible. It was useless because she came from behind and shot me.

Round two was all mine, since I stalked her from the side against a wall with no escape. The tie breaker was round three, loser bought the winner dinner.

"It's over!" I pointed the gun with the silver paintballs in it.

"Okay you win."

"Well it's not official until I shoot you."

She sighed. "I guess it's only fair."

I pulled the trigger to shoot her in her guarded chest. "Alright I win."

She rolled her eyes. "Let's go."

We ran to Forks and changed clothes.

I wasn't in the habit, but again she insisted.
