12. Finally I Get Some Things off My Chest

I opened the door and walked into the kitchen. It was deserted. I grabbed a glass and poured myself some water, and sat down on the table.

"Renesmee I didn't hear you come in." Uncle Emmett found me.

"What do you know I am half-vampire." I responded.

"What's wrong?" My uncle asked me.

"Everything's fine...just stupid things." I answered.

"What did Jacob do?"

"He didn't do much; it just bugs me that he doesn't discuss his plans with me when I tell him everything."

"Well Ness not all guys are good with reading minds, if Jake didn't say anything it's because he didn't think you would care."

"Yeah you're probably right. Guess I am starting to act like his wife."

Uncle Emmett chuckled and I smiled.

"Don't worry Ness, you'll find something to do. Tomorrow's school and a chance to find new friends, besides you have to plan your wedding remember?" Uncle Emmett assured.

"You're right. I overreacted over the Sam thing." I told him.

"Sam the Alpha?"

Uncle Emmett was surprised and wondering what would Jacob be doing with him. He obviously didn't know Jake was the new Alpha.

"Uncle Emmett, Jacob is the Alpha, he always was, but he didn't take over until now." I explained.

"Jake's a leader? You've got to be kidding, wait this could be a good thing." Uncle Emmett was planning something.

"Uncle Em, don't give him any ideas." I pleaded.

"Fine I won't. I just can't get the idea of him being leader into my head, that's interesting."

"We'll I'm not that impressed, leader or not he's still my Jacob."

"He won't be your Jacob for long if he keeps hiding things from you."

"Yeah, well I'll get to the bottom of that eventually. How's Aunt Rosalie?"

I changed the topic, I already felt bad that I ignored his apology and he won't be happy until I forgave him.

"She's a little upset." Uncle Em informed me.

"She didn't sound a little upset when she called me." I said in disbelief.

"She's in denial."

"Denial about what? She can't see Jacob in a picture or else she tears it apart."

I really wondered what bothered Aunt Rose about Jake.

"She's jealous that's all." He told me.

"Jealous?"

I couldn't believe it. Jacob was right, my aunt was jealous, but of what?

"Your love for one another. Rose hated your mom because Edward loved her so much that he broke the rules to be with her. Jacob is also breaking rules to be with you, but the part that kills her most is you loving him so much. The way you look at one another, it's...scary actually."

Really that was what all the fuss was about? She was jealous that Jake and I loved each other so much.

"Why is she jealous? She has you." I noted the obvious.

"Tell your aunt that. I guess she never got her perfect love story like you guys." Uncle Emmett explained.

"That explains things."
