I glanced at the device. "It is telling you that you are surrounded by vampires."
Hugo looked up to see that he was surrounded. "Yes it is."
"Summon Zeus and Athos I want this man Marcel questioned. I want to know where he receives this blood from?"
"Yes Sir." We all said together.
Zeus and Athos had heard their names mentioned. They walked onto the main square together.
"Hello Sir." They said together then bowed.
"I want the two of you to go with Hugo and Curtis and find out where Marcel is receiving this blood from."
"Yes Sir." They said.
"They will explain as you go." The Councilman pointed at Hugo and Curtis.
They nodded. Athos winked at Councilwoman Anna then they left.
"As soon as we know where the blood is coming from we will send a group down to investigate." The Councilman told us.
"Yes Sir."
After a few days of waiting Councilman Klaus became impatient. "Why is it taking so long?" Councilman Klaus shouted.
"Sir we do not know." Shaun told him.
"How long does it take to find out information?" He said angrily them walked into his quarters slamming the door.
Shaun turned to me. "This has really upset him. I have never seen him like this." We went to Shaun's quarters to help with the evening meal. At dinner Shaun told everyone how upset the Councilman was.
"It is understandable Grandpa. Barkley and Pedro are under our protection. He is upset because he does not know what is happening to them."
"Yes I know but what could be taking them so long?"
We were quiet for the rest of the evening I think everyone was wondering where they were.
It was three weeks later that the four of them returned. The Councils were waiting for them. I could see the relief on Councilwoman Anna's face when she saw that Athos was back.
"Finally you have returned. What news do you bring?" Councilman Klaus said. He tried not to sound impatient.
"Our apologies for taking so long Councilman Klaus and other Council members, Marcel and Benoit are part of a traveling caravan. They have been selling their creature tracker to just about anyone who believes we exist." Athos told them. "Now we have the information you asked for. He orders the blood through a shipping company out of New Orleans, Louisiana. The company is called 'White Moon.'"
"White Moon?" Councilman Klaus whispered. His head snapped up. "That is Wilbert's company. I did not know they had an office on this side of the ocean."
"I do not think anyone did Sir." Athos said.
"All right I will send a letter to Wilbert to see if he knows anything about this. In the mean time Shaun I would like a group of forty to go down and investigate."
"Yes of course Sir the people have already been notified they just needed the destination."
"Very good Shaun send them on their way." Councilman Klaus sighed. "Finally some action."
"Yes Sir."
Shaun turned to the group that was going. It was a mix of all the cave residents. We had been ready to go for a week. Zeus, Athos, Hugo and Curtis were the only ones that had to pack a change of clothes.
"You all know that somehow some of our people have either been killed or are being tortured in order for the mortals to have possession of their blood. You will go find these people and hopefully rescue our friends." Shaun said.
