For the next few days we listened carefully to our mortal friends to see if they noticed the Commander. We discovered they were not the ones that noticed him. It was the French.

Scott had a few French patients. They were asking about the ghost that was running around the battlefield. Scott was the only one that could understand them. He told them that he did not know about any ghost.

He kept them away from his English patients just in case.

A few days later we returned the French soldiers back to their Army. All the French soldiers stared at Commander Comerford.

"Are your men all right Sir?" The Commander asked the French Commander.

"They have been whispering about a ghost since our last battle. Do not worry yourself."

"Very well Commander. Good day."

We left with our wounded and brought them to the hospital tent.

The Commander watched as we examined the patients. He looked very nervous and uncomfortable.

Once we were done we gathered in Scott's surgery. Rachelle looked very upset.

"I am sorry Rachelle. I had not realised I was seen I kept to the trees. I promise I will be more careful." He pleaded.

She did not say a word.

"Rufus if you are noticed again. We will have no other choice but to bring you in front of the Council." Paddy told him.

"I promise I will be good."

"You better be." Rachelle said then she stomped out of the surgery.

"Oh dear. I better go and calm her down." He looked at the rest of us then went after her.

"Do that." Paddy said as Rufus walked out.

"As far as I can tell the French Commander and most of his officers have brushed it off." Cory told us.

"We have been listening around their campfires at night." Quinn was saying. "It has been a week. They talked about him the first night."

The Shifters and the wolves were staying close to the French Army at night to be sure there was no more discussion about the ghost.

We went back to our patients. Rachelle returned a few hours later noticeably calmer.

"You look happier." Samantha whispered to her. They gave each other a knowing smile.

"I also told him if he embarrasses me again I would rip his head off and feed it to the wolves."

"What was his answer?" Samantha asked shocked.

"There are no wolves around here."

"Do not worry about that I am capable of whistling up a few if need be." Rachelle smiled.

They stopped talking long enough to help a patient.

"Well Rachelle what else?"

"He proceeded to satisfy me." They giggled.

The Commander ordered us to move the camp again. He wanted to travel another hundred miles west. It would bring us closer to home.

Our soldiers were extremely worn out. The last battle had destroyed most of our food supplies. Some of the cannonballs had hit our supply tent destroying many of the food barrels.

Commander Comerford had some of the men hunt and fish as we moved west. It helped a bit.

Paddy told us a few days later that Shaun had contacted him. The French Army was following us west.
