044- War Is Over

Everyone fled the scene, the death eaters were disappearing in dust and the others were running. I didn't know what to do, I wanted to find Draco and make sure he was okay but it was too dangerous.

"We need to get out of here." Mattheo shouted to us all as there was so much noise. Everyone looked at eachother and nodded but i hesitated.

"What about Draco?" I asked them in worry.

"It's too dangerous, Y/n. Just because we're not together anymore doesn't mean I don't care about you." Mattheo told me as he walked closer towards me. I gave him a small smile and he put his arm around me to bring me into a side hug. Me and Mattheo broke up months ago and it wasn't on good terms either so we didn't talk much after, but now i'm glad he said that. I hope we can remain friends.

"I'm all for this happy friendship but if we don't move we will die." Blaise reminded us and we all nodded and started running into the broken buildings. We didn't know where to go, we were dodging spells everywhere we went. We were running through the halls which had rubble everywhere.

We kept running but was soon stopped by a scream which we heard from close behind us. We turned around and saw Millie on the floor after she was hexed by a death eater. We all ran over to Millie in distraught as Mattheo hexed the death eater and successfully killed him. We kneeled down next to Millie and Pansy started balling her eyes out. I started crying too and so did the boys, yet they didn't want to show much of it. I looked down at Millie and noticed her chest was still rising, she was still breathing.

"She's still breathing!" I told everyone quickly whilst I was sobbing. The sad tears soon turned into happy tears as Millies eyes started to flutter open. Her mouth opened and she gasped for air. Me and Pansy lifted her to sit up and we hugged her. Once she stood up, Blaise and Mattheo hugged her.

"We thought we lost you." Pansy told Millie and hugged her again.

"You'll have to wait a bit longer for that i'm afraid." She joked. "I am surprised yous cried over me though, even the boys shedded a few tears." Millie laughed while trying to keep her balance. The spell fortunately only made her faint but as she fell, her leg got caught in some rubble so now she was limping.

"Just got some dust in my eye." Blaise said back to her, rubbing his eye. We all laughed, happy that Millie was okay. I don't know what we would've done if Millie died. She's apart of our group, we've had so many memories with her, we all love her so much. It just wouldn't be the same without her, which is why we all needed to protect eachother.

"We need to find somewhere to hide, we need Millie to be safe." Mattheo spoke. He was right, we wanted to fight but Millie was injured, she needed to rest. We started searching around to try and find some place to hide which wasn't near any fighting. Me and Pansy held up Millie and helped her to walk as her leg was still weak. We finally found a place to hide behind a huge pile of rubble. We helped Millie to sit down and we all sat in silence, no one knew what to say.

"I love you guys." Pansy suddenly said, looking at us all with worry in her eyes.

"We're not going to die, Pansy." I reassured her. "As cringey as this is going to sound, we need to stay positive. There are many people dying right now and we are safe where we are, we need to be grateful for that." I said and everyone lowered their heads in sorrow as we realised that many people are dying right now.

At that moment we all realised the reality of what was happening. Hogwarts, our home, was being destroyed. Our friends and professors were being killed before us. Lives were being destroyed, our home was being destroyed. My thoughts were suddenly interrupted when a hand, from above me, grabbed the hair on the top of my head and pulled me upwards. I started screaming and grabbing the hand to try and pull it away. My friends soon noticed what happened and started pulling my legs down but i was flung up and thrown to the ground. My friends rushed out to see what was happening and it was Scabior, the snatcher, who stood in front of me. I picked myself up from the ground and Matthew threw me his wand.
