002- Back in Hogwarts

Me and Malfoy made it back to Hogwarts and we entered the great hall. We walked in silence as I don't think either of us wanted to talk to eachother. When we entered the great hall, everyone was eating so no one even noticed us walking in, which I'm happy about. Everyone was already sitting in their houses so me and Draco sat on the Slytherin table. I sat next to Mattheo and Draco sat next to Pansy again. I saw that Blaise and Millie were sitting near the end of the table so they probably got here early.

"Where were you two?" Pansy asked us.

"No where." Draco cleared his throat.

"I thought you were going to see a friend." Mattheo looked at me.

"I did, I went to go find my friend and then afterwards I saw Malfoy walking back up to Hogwarts so I followed him back." I tried to make up an excuse but Pansy didn't look convinced.

Mattheo believed my story but kept giving Draco a death glare as Draco gave me a look. A minute later, Potter came walking into the hall with a cloth covered with blood on his nose. I gave Draco a look and he just scoffed. Pansy and Mattheo looked at eachother as if they knew what was going on. They knew we were hiding something.

A few minutes later, Dumbledore came to the front of the great hall and started a speech.

"The very best of evenings to you all. First off, let me introduce the newest member of our staff. Horace Slughorn." Dumbledore introduced Slughorn and everyone applauded him. "Professor Slughorn, I'm happy to say, has agreed to resume to his old post of Potions master. Meanwhile, the post of Defense Against The Dark Arts will be taken by Professor Snape."

Everyone applauded Snape but Draco looked miserable. "As you know, each and every one of you was searched upon your arrival here tonight and you have the right to know why. Once there was a young man, like you, sat in this very hall. Walked this castles corridors. Slept under it's roof. He seemed, to all the world, a student like any other. His name? Tom Riddle." The hall filled with murmurs as Dumbledore had mentioned the name Tom Riddle.

"Today, of course, he's known all over the world by another name. Which is why as I stand looking out upon you all tonight, I am reminded of a sobering fact. Everyday, every hour, this very minute perhaps, dark forces attempt to penetrate this castles walls. But in the end, their greatest weapon is you. There's something to think about. Now off to bed, pip, pip." Dumbledore finished his speech and everyone was in shock.

Everyone started talking as they left the great hall and went back to their dorms. I walked alongside Mattheo, Pansy and Draco.

"That was a bit intense." I joked about Dumbledores speech.

"More like pathetic." Draco scoffed.

All he ever seems to do is scoff.

"I don't know what's gotten into you, Malfoy, but you need to calm down." Pansy said.

Draco only rolled his eyes at her words and we kept walking.

We got to the Slytherin common room and we saw Millie and Blaise standing at the entrance.

I ran over to Millie and gave her a big hug. Me, Pansy and Millie have always been really close friends.

"Millie! It's been so long, how have you been?" I asked her, pulling out of the hug.

"I've been great! What about you, how was your summer?" Millie asked.

"It was alright but I'm glad to be back at Hogwarts." I said. She gave me a warn smile and then Blaise came to greet me.

"Y/n!" Blaise pulled me into a hug which I did not expect because he has never hugged me before. "It feels like ages since I last saw you." Blaise pulled out of the hug.
