Chapter 42

It was late as Suna entered his house. He took off his shoes and went into the living room.

„Reiko, what are you doing here? Don't you have school tomorrow?" Suna asked his little sister.

Reiko was sitting on the couch reading a book. „No, i don't." she said calmly, turning a page of her book.

Suna sighed. „Still, it's really late. You should go to bed." he said, taking a strand out of her face.

„I'm not sleepy. But hungry." she said, finally closing her book and looking at her brother.

„Ramen?" he asked, getting two bowls, already knowing her answer. „As long as it's better than Shenaya's cooking, sure." she shrugged, standing up and deciding to help her brother.

„As i went to school today i dropped something, but a nice young woman picked it up and gave me it. She was really pretty!" Reiko told Suna, smiling faintly.

Reiko wasn't a girl that smiled alot, she was much like her brother. Suna chuckled, turning his attention towards cooking again.

„Can we eat outside? It's really pretty there." Reiko asked, taking her bowl.

Suna nodded, opening the door to go to the garden.

„It's beautiful out here." Reiko said, looking up to the sky.

„It really is." Suna whispered. This all remembered him of Y/n. He missed her so much.

„I told you about this new teacher, right? She was so pretty and nice! I asked her if she was single, she is." Reiko said, looking at her brother.

Suna shook his head. „No, Reiko. As much as i appreciate you wanting me to be happy, i can handle this." he said, closing his eyes for some seconds.

„She said she wants to meet you, because you know, mom isn't available..." Reiko said, her voice getting quieter each second.

„When is it?" he asked. „This friday." Reiko answered. Her brother nodded. „I don't have any match or practice that day so it's perfect. After that we go hang out a little at the mall, alright?" Suna asked, grinning.

„Hell yeah!" Reiko said, throwing a punch into the air.

Suna chuckled, taking the bowl from Reiko and going inside to wash it.

His sister followed him, watching him washing the dishes.

As he was done and turned around she hugged him.

„I'm sorry you need to go trough all of this. It will come better. You're a great brother and i can tell you everything. Thank you." she said, hugging hin tightly.

Suna's eyes widened in shock as he hugged back the shorter girl. He smiled faintly.

„Now go to sleep." Suna whispered. Reiko nodded, going upstairs.

Suna sat down on the couch, taking out his phone. He looked at pictures with Osamu, Atsumu, Y/n and him. But mostly they were pictures with Y/n and him.

His eyes started tearing up and he smiled as he looked at the photos.

The one was at a café, another one was at a park, the other one was a date by the lake Suna's always visiting...

Suna remembered the words the young woman had told him that day. „Everything happens with a reason." but there was no good reason for Y/n being kidnapped.

Anything good could happen. He didn't need to lose Y/n for that.

He could only hope to see her at the streets or somewhere he and Y/n went to dates.

But what if... she didn't miss him? What if she forgot about him, or never wanted to hear anything about him?

A knot started to form in Suna's throat that made him hard to swallow.

He closed his eyes, leaning back.

I went outside, looking for a specific girl with h/c hair. My heart was beating really fast as i couldn't see her anywhere.

„Are you searching for a sexy girl? She drove away with a guy." a drunk guy said to me, pointing towards the street.

That's where my whole world crashed. I could feel my hands sweat and feeling my whole body getting cold.

My heart stung and i imagined how he packed Y/n and put her into the car. Where was she? What was he going to do with her?

„No no no, fuck fuck fuck!" i screamed, starting to run the way the guy pointed.

„Don't leave me! Please!" i cried, not feeling my legs anymore.

„Rin..." i could her hear voice. I looked around, hoping to see her somewhere.

But my tears blurred my vision. „Where are you?" i yelled, crying.

„Help me..." i could hear her sobs and the hopefulness in her voice, making my heart break.

„I'm so sorry." i whispered, wiping my tears so i can see something.

„I will search for you everyday for hours. Please don't leave me..."

Suna opened his eyes, trying to steady his breath. He sat up, looking around.

He was still sitting on the couch, seven years after.

He stood up, walking around to calm himself. He was sweating really hard and he was feeling dizzy.

That was the nightmare he was dreaming again and again, hearing the hopefulness in her voice every nightmare, having the same reaction after every waking up.

He checked his phone to know the time. It was six in the morning, Reiko would wake up in any minute.

Suna took one last deep breath, deciding to start cooking breakfast.

„This smells delicious!" Reiko exclaimed as she came downstairs.

„Good morning." Suna said, putting a plate infront of Reiko.

„Good morning." Reiko said, starting to eat her breakfast.

Suna chuckled, ruffling her hair. He sat down next to his sister, sipping his coffee.

„Could you drive me to school?" Reiko asked. „As much as i know Shenaya will take my car today. Sorry kid. But i can walk you to school if you want." he said, knowing Reiko liked the attention she was getting because the Suna Rintarou was her brother.

„You know me so damn well!" Reiko laughed, continuing on eating.

„No cursing!" a woman's voice said, making Reiko frown.

Suna silently laughed at her reaction, sipping his coffee.

„Yeah yeah, i'm done with eating. Can we go now to school Rintarou?" Reiko asked, putting the dishes away quickly.

Suna nodded, taking his jacket.

Shenaya just stood there, raising an eyebrow. He didn't even tell me a good morning. This man needs to learn alot!
