Long Waited Night

As the days, months, and years went, he and I became closer than anything else in the world. I now find it impossible to envision my existence without him, and I depend on him more than I depend on myself. We entered our fourth year of living together. I am doing well in college and the doctor is amazing in his hospital.
"Sathya... maa... Did you see my notes? I put them on the table yesterday night," shouted the doctor while I was packing lunch for both of us.
"I put them in your bag, side space," I replied back
"Yes, found them,"
"Come and eat breakfast,"
Our days are the happiest, and I am overjoyed with this bond. Our parents, however, do not hold that viewpoint. I am Sathya Balakrishna, a fourth-year medical student, and the wife of Dr. Balakrishna Chandrasekhar. The doctor is 36 and I will be 22 in a few months. We live in Kerala and have a small yet cosy home. It was challenging for me at first to live alone in another state, but my neighbour is a really reliable person. I can always depend on Aisha Chechi's friendly smile and powerful hands. In the last four years, she has grown more formidable. Even her professor husband cannot stop bragging about the independent woman who opened her own tailoring shop. She gives me half credit, but I am not selfish... Her boldness and tenacity were what made her successful. She made changes in her life because she wished to. I discovered that if you don't desire a change in your life, you can't make one. You must alter your heart to bring about change, have confidence in yourself, and make your body and heart work hard until you reach your objectives. You must possess the capacity to eliminate the word "quit" from your own lexicon. Aisha Chechi is the best example of this; she made it happen despite being dragged back to the lake by her children, husband, and family, despite being a worthless woman whose life is only written inside a kitchen, she made it happen, she reversed her fate. I'm continuing to work hard, and one day, I'll also succeed. I will reach the top.
The doctor's hands began to roam around my body as soon as he entered the kitchen. I know the doctor has been holding back for a long time, but four years. I never imagined he could sustain self-control for four years.
"Haa! Stop this, doctor. Go and have your food it's getting cold," I said when he started smooching my neck.
"I am eating, wow! Sathya, this food is delicious," he said as he chomped me. His teasing is going really out of control lately.
When we were about to go out, his mother called. "Sathya, Amma wants to speak with you," he handed me the phone.
"Hello, Amma, how are you doing?"
"Sathya, I am good-ma, how is everything going there?" Amma started talking, she gets chatty these days and everything she says concludes with one thing.
"Ma, when are you going to think about a baby? I am getting old so as he, give me a baby-ma,"
She is my mother-in-law, and I am aware that she has the right to seek a grandchild from me. Still, the doctor and I decided to wait till I graduate—just one more year—so I will have to make some excuses and ask her to be patient. My time at college is going extremely well, and while my network of friends has expanded, Jessi and Hari will always be my closest friends.
"Can you believe we lived in two centuries?" said Hari
"Wow! it's insane," said others
"Well, I guess it's some kind of blessing for some," annoyed Jessi replied
"But think about it, we were born in the 20th century and now living in the 21st, it is kind of cool," I said
"Yes, indeed," Jessi was not interested, I think I know why, our exams are coming.
