The road to where Aaron wanted to take me was pretty quiet actually.  To be honest, way too quiet.  Quite the opposite of what I had imagined.  Not that I wanted him jumping on me, but I didn't like his restraint.  It didn't suit my plans.

I would have imagined, with his reputation as an asshole, that Aaron would try to do something particularly daring.  But I have to admit now that he can be respectful at times.  Or would it be that he behaves like that just with me and tries to curb his sexual urges?

I looked up at Aaron who had been fidgeting all over the place like a flea.  I smiled when our eyes met because immediately he looked away shyly.  He sounded like a kid caught in the act and trying not to be teased.

It was strange and extremely different from his nature.  Is that really how a proud, self-assured man like Aaron could end up when he has a crush on a woman?

I was told by Fancy what kind of womanizer he is, and he always broke the hearts of his victims by abandoning them after ripping off their virginity.  So how did such an asshole come to this?  Am I really that tempting?

I stared at him intently again and he looked down, his face flushed as he seemed to be struggling to breathe or swallow.

On Aaron's side, he didn't know what was happening to him.  The intense gaze Mylène gave him made him feel uncomfortable. He smiled before thinking about his plans to take the throne, he had gained little by little the power that would help him, and now he had already found his queen.

Perhaps, the Duke of Hosten who has always been neutral would finally take part in this succession struggle if his daughter is expected to be their future queen

  It is obvious that with the support of this mysterious but powerful man, he would hold all the cards.  The queen had tried so hard to get close to him, but the man was so cold and scary that she gave up. Maybe it's why she tried to push this asshole Frederick De Solsten to marry Gabrielle, even if she is just a stepchild of the duke, the bond could be made with Hosten. But if he has the duke's support first, with the reputation this man has, it is obvious that many nobles will be on his side.

But for now, he had decided not to dwell on it.  He is with Mylène and wants to take advantage of her charming company.
