Fear Mylene

I enjoyed all the expressions of those I consider my enemies. Especially Edward, who liked to think he was the smartest of all.

I then glanced at Gabrielle, who hadn't dared to say a word since the beginning. How could she anyway? Her face was lowered in shame or fear, no one knows. Her mother Sofiane, hadn't stopped shaking and with good reason.

She was probably wondering why I had preserved her. She was right, if I had just said that these villas belonged to her, she would have already been thrown out or even killed by the duke; but I didn't do it, that's how much fun I have with her and it must terrify her. She should never have underestimated me, I return double or even triple the harm done to me.

Sofiane didn't stop shaking, she didn't want to be involved in what was happening around her anymore, she was only thinking about Mylène. Given her mean smile, she probably prepared an even more horrible trick for her...
But if it was true that it was Mylène who prepared all this, that only meant one thing, the headmaid's escape is not one in fact and that everything was orchestrated by Mylène. But if she said that, it would be taken for bad faith and unlike Mylène, she had no proof of her accusations and she also didn't know what Mylène still had in store.

She just couldn't challenge her like that, she had really underestimated this girl. When she wanted to teach her a lesson last time, she hadn't known that things would become  like this.

She lowered her head, she shouldn't make any noise in this house.  Already her marriage to the Duke would be void if he decided so, since she lied to him by saying that her former husband was dead. She and her daughter would return to their misery because what was certain was that Mylène knew all the properties in her name and would take care of getting them all back.
She and her daughter would be put out on the street without a penny after all these years, and she doubted that Frederik De Solsten would marry a commoner, let alone a peasant.

She looked at Mylène again, who would have thought that she would find herself in this kind of situation because of this girl she had always tortured? She was at her complete mercy.

Her only hope was that Count De Solsten would already send the marriage proposal to the Duke in order to divert some attention from her and her daughter.  Hoping that the Duke would pay attention of course…

Speaking of Gabrielle, she had to get engaged to Frederik De Solsten quickly and the wedding had to take place quickly, otherwise it would be the end of both of them.

Claude shook his head, Mylène for having subjugated Sofiane and Gabrielle, she had done it. The two of them looked at her with fear and he knew that his daughter was not done with them yet.

He looked at his sons and almost felt compassion for them. His daughter had just taken away the trust of two people they cherished greatly and in the worst possible way.

Indeed, even if we tried to put it into perspective by saying that all this was a plan of the headmaid, doubt would always linger as to the involvement of these two in the coup.

Very quickly, people began to whisper and it was very clear!
The whispers became more daring and open, attacking Sofiane by recalling her actions, notably wanting to get rid of Mylène; because she had bullied her and put her daughter forward as the only lady of the Hosten household.
When Sofiane heard that, her heart skipped a beat, was that Mylène's plan? To make everyone start to doubt her and her intentions. Even Gabrielle would soon be lynched, you just had to see the looks on everyone's faces, even the butler, Karl and Edward were looking at them with distance now.

It was awful.

Claude decided that his role in this affair was over and went to find Christal. Crazy as she was, she must have witnessed all the action and had fun seeing the dejected faces of the people present.

Left alone in front of everyone, I spoke again.

"Well, it seems to me that you have been informed of the fact that from now on, I am the one in charge of managing this residence. As a result, you have noticed that many people have been auditioned to work in the manor..." I paused, the servants having worried looks, and rightly so.  Many will be thrown out, if not all…
Serves them right, all of them mistreated Mylène.
“It’s simple, I’m going to fire the people who have done unsatisfactory work in this mansion and replace them with more qualified people.”

In other words, I’m going to get rid of the people who have been against me all this time and replace them with my own people.

Everyone had understood the hidden meaning of Mylène’s announcement and their faces paled even more. Some had started to whisper about how much they regretted but Mylène’s cold gaze told them that she didn’t care about their regrets.

Edward looked at Mylène with apparent fear. He didn’t know why but every fiber in his body was screaming at him to be wary of this girl.

The butler had frowned at her, this girl was exactly like her mother. When she had arrived at this mansion, Christal had made sure to get rid of those who bothered her.  He had been kept at the time because Christal did not want to take care of the sons of the previous duchess and the butler seemed to enjoy it.

But he knew that unlike the mother, the daughter would not hesitate to get rid of him but the manner was the only thing that escaped him.

“Well, I will inform you about the list of people who will have to pack up later today, you can go.”

I turned, passing in front of Gabrielle, I leaned a little to her ear level and spoke so that only she could hear me.

“Don't think that I forgot that you wanted to kill me ... I have a nice surprise for you ... little sister.”

Gabrielle shuddered and began to tremble. Mylène's voice was low and dangerous, which added to her heart a feeling of anxiety that grew as she imagined her tomorrows in this mansion.

I also walked past Sofiane and smiled mockingly at her, before going to my room.
