We arrived in front of a misty lake and Suzaku took his firebird form

“Climb up Mylène, we’re going to go higher.”

I retracted, there were real flames on Suzaku’s back and unless I was suicidal, which I absolutely wasn’t, I wasn’t going to go up.

“You have nothing to fear from my flames, they’ll never hurt you”

I stared at Suzaku’s pleading gaze and smiled

“Good, I trust you.”

I went up and as Suzaku had said, I didn’t feel anything.

“Let’s go.”

He took off and entered the mist, I closed my eyes because this mist was really thick. I felt the draft hit my face with force and the cold attack my skin.

We climbed higher on the tree of faces and far from being afraid, I found the place quite special.

Arriving at Suzaku's nest, I decided to ask him the question.

"These faces, are you the one who gathered them?"

I then held his cheek.

Suzaku then closed his eyes, taking a few deep breaths. It helped, but Suzaku’s nerves were still on edge.

“Come on… I promise there’s nothing to worry about.” I said slowly as I slowly brought Suzaku’s face closer to mine.  “Relax..” I whispered, closing my eyes and kissing him gently.

Suzaku felt shivers run through his body, this sensation was unique, almost unreal and the more Mylène's lips moved against his, the more his worry went away and soon pleasure replaced fear.
