How they treat me now?

We arrived in the clearing just outside the Hosten mansion, my mind now focused on my plans and everything I'd left undone—at least, I knew I'd left them in good hands. I just needed to know the results so I could think about my next steps.
I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice my hair was disheveled from riding Seiryu. I felt it being gently tucked away before turning to find Azef, a hair clip between his lips. His gaze was both gentle and soft, yet also seemed intent on his work; so I let myself be lulled by his gentleness.

Earlier, Suzaku had volunteered to lead us, but the fact that he couldn't fly higher in the clouds had been a problem because he would have attracted the attention of the estate's people.

Azef finished tidying my hair, putting it back in a ponytail before smiling at me, a smile I responded with a flushed face.

Azef moved closer to me, and I realized he was looking for his reward—the rascal—I smiled before giving him a peck, but he didn't seem to agree, as he took me in his arms and deepened the kiss.

I let him and returned his embrace as the kiss intensified as the seconds passed.

After a few minutes, we had to separate for lack of air, and Azef came up to kiss my forehead.

“I'm sorry… I've been wanting to do this since I woke up…”

“Azef…”

“I'm a little capricious, aren't I?”

“No... If you need something, you should express it.”

Azef smiled, but at the same time, Suzaku stepped in front of me.

“Mylène, you love us, don't you? It might be a silly question, but I like hearing you say it.”

I chuckled before stroking his cheek. After listening to Genbu's story, I could quite understand their feelings and the fears deep in their hearts. Suffering so much from the loss and rejection of my predecessors must have left a deep and intense wound within them, and it would certainly be difficult to heal it so quickly, but I fully intended to do so.

“Yes, Suzaku. I love you and I'm happy we're together, like this… I hope we find Byakko soon and that I can calm the cries of his soul.”

The three smiled before Genbu spoke.

“Hey, Mylène, I think it would be better if you got used to calling us by our human names.”

“That's right, Mylène, it would be simpler and it would also prevent people from becoming suspicious. It's better to lull your enemies' suspicions.”

“You're right, boys, Ifnir, Vanderly…”

Vanderly blushed before running to hug me, giving me a quick peck.

"Mylène."

Azef and Ifnir were smiling; it really made them happy to see Vanderly so happy. It hadn't been like this for centuries; he was like an abandoned child, withdrawn and expressing his despair and sadness by killing and spreading curses across entire towns to calm himself, but now they knew it would be okay.
He smiled more, his eyes shone, and the sinister aura around him had disappeared.

They were happy, and it was all thanks to their beautiful mate who loved them as much as they loved her—even though they were sure they loved her beyond that reality.

"Let's go, boys."

We set off and left the forest, emerging directly into the gardens at the entrance to the mansion.

When the gardener saw us arrive, he rushed over to greet us. I recognized him immediately.

“Lady Mylène, nice to see you again. I hope you had a pleasant night.”

I raised an eyebrow. Just yesterday the staff hadn't been so polite to me, and now I was even receiving this kind of reception...

Not wanting to dwell on it, I shook my head before staring at the house, seemingly trying to assess the mood.

“Yes... Where's Fancy?”

“Ma’am? She's in the kitchens organizing lunch.”

I giggled. I could really count on my adorable little girl.

I left the gardener, who stood there for a long moment with his head down while I continued to giggle. It was obvious that many had figured out who was now in charge, very good.
I walked with my jewels toward the walkway leading to the main entrance, numerous servants gathering around, bending to greet us in two human lines.

I thought I'd easily get used to this kind of treatment...

But it wasn't just that, I could also hear whispers about Vanderly and Ifnir's appearance, some wondering how I managed to surround myself with such beauties...

I huffed, slightly annoyed that these women were drooling over my lovers, but innocent Vanderly took my hand, practically skipping beside me.

"Mylène, let's go. I want to see our room."

I smiled, ignoring the whispers before walking among the servants, who chorused, "Welcome, Lady Mylène."
